This is a large cafe, with a nice covered patio, which is where we sat. The weather was perfect outdoors The menu has all the bistro standards ranging from boudin (blood sausage) to gigot d'agneau (lamb) and various steaks. Some of the meals (Table d'hote) come with an appetizer, and I had the guacamole salad with clams. A great place... More

Great patio if the weather is good. Inside is also a great place. Very French. The food isn't as good as it used to be but it is still a great place to have a drink and people watch.

Nice location, nice old brasserie with some history, cosy atmosphere, friendly staff... what is missing? Just the food, very disappointing.

I went to this French bistro, on St-Denis, with my wife after a nice walk on Sherbrooke and through the Plateau. It was on a holiday, so it was at almost full capacity at peak lunch hour, but we were seated right away at a nice table. My wife - whose language of preference is English - was handed an... More

We came here hearing that a lot of locals love this place. When we were seated, the waiter left us for 20 mins before we finally walked up to someone and asked to order. I watched as the waiter serviced all the other diners and even made eye contact with him several times. It seems like he preferred to serve... More

I had dinner in a very cold winter evening here. Not full but dotted with possibly regulars who (as usual the lovely Quebecers do) were all engaged in their conversations, rather quite. I liked my (a la carte) food and the wine I chose. The service was too fine (a single person attended the whole crowd with unmatched efficiency). Bar... More

It is not cheap, but it is fabulous quality, so I would say this place is good value. The atmosphere is romantic and the staff are very pleasant (they are also very good with kids and teens so you can bring the whole family). Their frites are divine and make sure to have the hot chocolate cake for dessert!

This cafe always seemed busy and for 4 days of our stay acroos the street at the Kutuma Hotel we walked past it. The last day we decided that the locals seemed to vote by their patronage so we had lunch. Well it was the best of our eating experience in the City...There is a fine restaurant that is highly...
