My wife ordered the margherita and I had the Al Prosciutto pizza. They were both delicious, thin crust, great sauce and enough toppings. We also had the Italian salad which wasn't so great. It was alright but compared to the pizza, it was a flop. Overall though, I would definitely order a pizza from here again. I wish they had... More

Needed a place to grab a quick bite late at night and ended up at Il Focolaio Pizza. We were hungry for brick oven pizza and a quick Google search turned up this place. We dodged rain drops and lightning and took a short walk from our hotel. Casual and comfortable, Il Focolaio has a gigantic menu of pizza choices... More

I was at the Old Port and this pizza place is fairly close. I got the margharita (mozzarella, basil and tomato) and the Ratatouille (veggies). They only have one size of pizza (small) and I felt the Ratatouille was too wet from the tomatoes. The crust - great, as they have a wood burning oven. Margharita was OK. But 2... More

There were 8 of us, so we had checked ahead and they were expecting us. The place is very small and very, very noisy. We arrived 30 seconds before a huge deluge, so everyone seated outside poured inside at once. Our orders were take quickly and the food came very fast. I shared a pizza and a salad with another... This is not your ordinary pizza joint, They know pizza's well and its a different and unique receipe for their pizza's. Did not feel there was any processed food in the pizza. It wer fresh, authentic and unique. Pricing was reasonable for a tourist or a a 1-2 times a week outing. The place was busy - The must be... More

People seem to love this place, as the restaurant is always full. My experience is that inside the place was noisy and dirty. Service was fast to take the order and bring the food, but way too slow when we wanted to pay and leave. There are many pizza choices, but in my opinion they all look alike. Choices of... More

This is the place for fast fresh pizza. The house wine is good and inexpensive. We ate here twice during our week stay in Montreal.

Great thin crust pizzas, lots of choices, good service (indoor and outdoor, even during peak hours), authentic wood fire oven. A little bit too noisy when is full.

Il Foccolaio has 75 kinds of pizza that come on a heavenly crust. We also had a marvelous salad (there were 6 or so varieties) and some locally brewed beer. The staff were friendly and the place was obviously popular with locals and tourists alike. A must-experience place.
