This is a very good place for asian food if you are in the old Montreal. I have been there countless times for lunch and once for dinner, and have never been disappointed. Excellent value

For something a little different, this is an excellent place. We loved our first visit and tried several different items. The soup was out of this world. Appetizers too. On our first visit we were very satisfied. However the second visit, I chose the salmon for a main course and that was a mistake. The fish was not fresh and... More

Not quite sure where to start! This place has no alcohol licence, so you need to bring your own. There seemed to be one guy doing most things, best we could tell, so the service was a little slow. The food however was very good, and very reasonably priced. The decor was dated and a little TLC is required, but... More

Well, it started out benignly and it seemed like a reasonable place for the evening. The menu looked interesting and the relatively young crowd seemed to be having fun. So, I went in - and then the soiree began to go downhill. There seemed to be no one actually seating customers, once they finally saw us at the door we... More

We had lunch at Tai Nature and although the food was actually quite good, the service was the worst we have ever had. We arrived at the end of a busy lunch hour and the staff seemed overwhelmed. They focused all their attention on a group of 8 people and our food took most of an hour to arrive. We... More

We were directed here by the concierge at the Intercontinental Montreal - because it was in short walking distance from the hotel and you could bring your own wine (which is awesome!!!). When we arrived the hostess was super friendly. As a party of two, we both ordered from the vietanemese section of the menu - the 4 courses, soup,... More

My party of 5 had the misfortune of eating at this restaurant. Because of the great location and increasing appetites, we decided not to search for further restaurants. Food took 45 minutes and was a huge disappointment. One member of my party had been given an inaccurate description of her meal choice and the waiter did not want to apologize,... More

The service was really great with amazing smiles. They referred that I get the red curry...and I am so glad I picked it!!! So delicious! We ordered the vegetarian spring roll. It was HUGE!!!!! Located in Old Montreal, it was a fantastic location near shopping and the water! See you next time Tai Nature!

Tai Nature is conveniently located on the cusp of Old Montreal, and provides fresh Thai dishes to dine in or carry out. I got the pad thai with Tofu, and it was excellent- there were lots of vegetarian options, as well as dishes for every meat eater. The vegetables were very fresh, and the sauce was delicious. The service was... More

Staying in Vieux-Montreal (Old Montreal)

Neighborhood Profile
Vieux-Montreal (Old Montreal)
The historic center of Montreal, Vieux-Port is home to some of the city's most antiquated buildings and picturesque streets. Along the waters of the St. Lawrence River, the bank of Old Port features museums, festivals, food stalls, and outdoor athletics, a celebrated part of the city that explodes into fireworks displays on warm summer nights. At its center, street performers and artists compete with sprawling restaurant terraces for space along Jacques-Cartier Square, while the cobbled streets of Rue St. Paul and Rue Notre-Dame offer a reprieve of quiet galleries and atmospheric wine bars. Horse-drawn carriages are not an uncommon part of traffic, and the narrows they traverse are lined with boutiques, crêperies, and poutine shops enshrined in buildings of stone and wooden lattices. Here you can evoke Montreal's past with a traditional cooking lesson or historical tour, then enjoy its artistic present with live music and theater.
