Best Kebab

I am frequent visitor this place. Their dishes are big and reasonably priced. The Lentil soup that they server as part of the Kebab dishes are awesome. I've been to many Middle Eastern places and found their kebab's unique in taste. My complain is about the ambience and I think they need to improve... read more

My four friends and I visited this place once in our trip to montreal and the foods we're excellent. We visited twice after and enjoyed it a lot. We tried three other Persian restaurant in montreal but not even comparable. The prices are reasonable too

Middle Eastern Food is one of our favorite types of food, but this food we found to be far from desired. The felafels were large round balls that were crisp on the outside but half cooked on the inside (gross!) The koobi was flat with little seasoning and the spicy ground lamb tasted scary ( I was afraid I would... More

Happened on to this restaurant without realizing it was Ramadan and everyone was there to break their fast. Everything was hopping, making you feel as though you were part of a large family gathering. The food was so outstanding that we ended up eating there 3 out of the 5 nights that we were in town. The chicken schwarma was... More

The food is delicious, Excellent Shish Taouk plate and great mixed kebab kafta. Actually all of the grilled plates I tried were excellent. Hummus and garlic sauce are also very good. Service is so so sometimes but the food makes it worthwhile. I will go back for sure.

My husband and I were in the mood for Middle Eastern food, so we found ourselves at Chateu Kabab. The decor/ambiance isn't anything special, but the smells drew us in. We started with an order of baba ghanouj and naan, both of which were very good. My husband got the spicy lamb kebab, which he thoroughly enjoyed, but my saffron... More

Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighborhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
