A small group of us ate lunch at Basha recently, and it was another terrific meal from a cuisine that we ordinarily might not have tried. The food was all prepared right in front of us and came out very fresh. The Combo Basha was excellent with beef and chicken from the spit, rice, awesome potatoes, salad, hummus, garlic white... More

I used to eat at Basha at least once a week when I was a student in Montreal. The variety of food is quite large, you order at the counter and take the tray of deliciousness to a table. Their coffee is great, the tahini sauce is wonderful, and the servings are quite large. The desserts are great too, and... More

We had dinner tonight at this little Lebanese place that promptly featured "vegetarian" on its sign. You order most of the food from a kind of buffet line, & the man who was serving us was super flexible & patient. For instance, my son wanted 3 falafel patties & a plate of potatoes, & that's exactly what he got. (Careful... More

Cheap, tasty and great variety. Oh did I mention FRESH? Stopped in for a quick bite while shopping at the RESO in Montreal....So good! The line was very long because it's great. I had the shish tauck but the shwarmas looked fabulous too. For $10, I hate a huge plate that had rice and meat, potatoes, a salad, hummus, garlic... More

The falafel, and shawarma sandwhich were really good. It was inexpensive, delicious, and close to my hotel.

They have a couple of Basha restaurants along St. Catherine and they are both on the 2nd floor with great views. I think that this is a very good if not the best Lebanese restaurant with a great view. Food is not expensive and their servings are almost good for two. They are also clean and pleasant to dine in.... More

I had been to this place a couple of times two or three years ago, and thought it was quite delicious. What a disappointment to return with a friend, order shawarma platters and get funky meat served on a pre-prepared plate that seemed to have been on the counter for a couple of hours, with dry hummus and soaked salad.... This place was recommeneded to me by someone who lived in Montreal for 10 years. I went to this location becasue it was closest to where I was staying. They were out of chicken, so I bought the beef platter and it was really bad. The falalels were good though. Good service!
