Spaghetti Carbonara, veal Parmigiana, mille feuille, choco loco, coffee and an average bottle of Chianti. $86 including tax and a tip. This is more family style than high end Italian food. Family owned, lots of local eat there so busy.

Great food and great size on portions, definitely a must see place in Montreal, Quebec. I had the spaghetti combo with garlic bread.

Pretty much what the title says. The portions were huge, but it was so delicious that I finished everything. I had the spaghetti with meat sauce and a meatball, and my boyfriend had the pizza-ghetti. Everything down to the garlic bread was amazing! Service is decent, but the food is to die for. If you're hungry and on a budget,... More

I have been going there since my childhood, and I love the place and the old-fashioned feel of it. I love the desserts, the food is cheap, filling, hearty, not gourmet at but plentiful and satisfying. Always nice going there, I would recommend it for anyone who wants an unpretentious and nice meal.

I learned of this time-warp back to the 1950s from an 80-ish Montréal native to whom I'd had the pleasure of sitting beside on the Amtrak Adirondack from New York. So I definitely had to go. There was nothing I did not enjoy about my experience of the place, which is definitely not a mecca for seekers of haute-cuisine, alta... More

We always eat at Da Giovanni when travelling to Montreal. It is great tasting Italian food at very good prices. We both had the pizza-getti where you get both pizza and pasta. It tasted great. Our server did not speak English well but was helpful as she got an interpreter when we asked a question she did not understand.

Food was good, reasonable price, clean restaurant , Would recommend anytime. Loved the atmosphere and the waitresses were efficient and friendly.I loved the pizza! Good size portion for the money and the special of the day was more that enough food.

Great Italian restaurant and the prices were very reasonable and the desserts were delicious! We had the table d'hote for about $20 and it came with soup, pasta and of course the delicious dessert

This became a staple for our afternoon meals. The portions are huge, the food was tasty and the price tag was reasonable. The service was generally great. I recommend the calzone con pollo, the chicken parmigiana and the Cesar salad with grilled chicken
