Delightful filling meal

I was visiting Montreal, and wanted to eat at a nice bistro away from the tourist area... THIS WAS IT! There was ample street parking (which is free after 6pm on Saturdays) and it was in an actual neighborhood, not at all tourist like. There were only 2 servers and the restaurant was a bit crowded... read more

The waitress was rude not helpful , food well very much to be desired. But the hit came when we went to pay the bill the waitress actually had the nerve to complain that we didn't give 17% tip what the may expect, if you give good service no problem.

Spacy restaurant bistrot of fine and smoothies for food, from fiah to pasta and meat. Better on sunny hours for lunch and busy at night.

This restaurant is off the tourist track and specializes in a melange of North African/French food. Lots of couscous. Staff is pleasant and the atmosphere very nice. The North African cuisine was good and quite elegant, although personally I would have preferred the more everyday style of of tagines and couscous.

Dreaming of your european trip to the brasserie, well south east of Montreal you should drive, and believe me you won't be disapointed. The table d'hôte is a five diner course, each of them being very well presented and worth the money. The decor is nice and warm. Surprisingly, the portion are more adapted to the north american appetite, yet... More

Staying in Olympic Park & Hochelaga-Maisonneuve (HoMa)

Neighborhood Profile
Olympic Park & Hochelaga-Maisonneuve (HoMa)
Named for the Olympic Stadium complexes built for the 1976 games, the Olympic Park and the surrounding neighborhood of Hochelaga-Maisonneuve (HoMa) make up an invigorated area dedicated to "Space for Life." Around the Olympic Village's arenas and stadiums, Rue Sherbrooke welcomes exploration of its sculpture gardens decorated in the works of Jean-Paul Riopelle and its museum culture headed by the historical Château Dufresne. Maisonneuve Park offers interactive experiences at its bio-dome, insectarium, planetarium, and botanical gardens. For a change of scene, the gentrified space along Rue Ontario Est is packed with the city's newest, edgiest cafes, where an imaginative, youthful crowd sips foamy cappuccinos. A visit here is incomplete without stepping into the vast halls of the Maisonneuve Market, with flower stalls, wine depots, and local produce.
