The ambiance is nice, service very friendly and the most important, the food was really tasteful, fresh tomato sauce, not only pepper as most of the restaurants. Very good wine suggested by the waiter. Highly recommend!

This is by far our favorite sort-of Italian restaurant in Montreal. Last night was our second time there in a month and we enjoyed it just as much as the first time. I say 'sort-of' Italian because they don't serve the usual dishes you would find at other pseudo-Italian restaurants, like fettucine Alfredo, carbonara, gigi, lasagna, etc. It's more like... More

This cute restaurant is well situated in the trendy area of Bernard. There is a small outdoor patio though they do not take reservations for it. The speciality seems to be pasta and we had 3 different pastas all of which were excellent with large portions. The atmosphere even inside is cosy and the staff is very friendly. Definitely worth... A beautiful Sunday around 1 and Outremont was full of others wanting to grab first rays of the spring sun. The staff was friendly, quick to serve us and helpful. We had burritos for the kids, a salmon bagel and a chicken dish. Food was fresh, lovely presented and good portions too. A very pleasant lunch, would recommend this address... More

Service is heavily personalized if you're a regular, this place has a professional, courteous and smiling service. The food is very tasty, cooked to perfection. Their beef slice starter is sooooo good. Every single time I go there, I'm never disappointed. Excellent wine variety

We found this restaurant just because it was opposite the Outremont theatre! But we were very positively surprised by the freshness of the prepared dishes. A fish soup with fresh herbs, a delicious salad caprese with an incredible fresh pesto, a fish tartare, again with very fresh herbs... we did not resist taking a desert which was very good. All... I love this smallish restaurant. Have been there on several occasions and the food is always tasty, fresh and delicious. Their risotto is amazing, my favorite! It is a great place for dinner with friends or a romantic evening. The only annoying part is finding parking in the area...

My sister in law choose this restaurant for a saturday night out with the kids. The chef is american and worked with Mario Batalli in New York City at Lupa restaurant. Apparently he fell in love and followed his heart to Montreal to open a restaurant here. It's a cute small restaurant. We started with a salmon tartar which was... More

Staying in Outremont

Neighborhood Profile
Outremont
Outremont, a quaint residential district just north of Downtown, is a peaceful, low-key setting known for its mod cafes and bistros, and some of the best walking territory Montreal has to offer. Visitors can explore the flowering parks and manor estates of Maplewood Street, then window-shop the popular bakeries and coffeehouses on main arteries of Chemin de la Côte-Sainte-Catherine and Rue Van Horne. The modern granola feel is complemented by contemporary art exhibitions, rotating theater productions, and a welcoming public library. Also a nexus for the city's Hasidic Jewish culture, Outremont's diversity resounds in its cuisine and in its architecture. Visit the colorful neighborhood to take advantage of boutique shopping on Avenue Laurier, or to test the artisanal flavors of Avenue Bernard, braving a salmon burger on a squid-ink bun or accommodating your sweet tooth with a provincial chômeur pudding. A visit to Outremont is a relaxing day.
