This restaurant is absolutely beautiful. The food and wine list are delicious and the ambience is really nice. There is a special price list after 10 PM.

This is a nice place. Good inside and outside seating. The setting was relatively nice. The service was very nice. The food was nice. But with the exception of the fish soup, nothing knocked our socks off. This seemed to us like a good place to go for predictable comfort food. The liver was good to have, nicely done and... More

Food was very good. I had escargots and then saumon tartare. My companion and I appreciated our first visit to this restaurant. It was fully booked so reservation in advised. Service was good and the food very well presented and delicious.

There are plenty of rave reviews for this restaurant but we found it too pedestrian to be considered "great". Its not that there is anything glaringly wrong, its just that there isn't anything really outstanding, except the pain perdu dessert which, indeed, was outstanding. The restaurant reminds one of such places as Cafe de la Paix in Paris-large, busy, and... More

The food is good but not extraordinary. The service is awful. The decor is clean and modern. The place attracts people that like to say "I ate there last night"...

We were told by a local to dine here for dinner but instead we went on Sunday for Brunch and it was yummy!! Definitely try the french toast and homemade donuts. WOW!

The food is excellent and the service very good. However at those prices I would expect un bit more creativity. They have not evolved from the past, classic French. Honest, expensive, very good classic French food.

This is a great place to visit if what you are looking for is the relaxed elegance of a French bistro. Great food and wine, without any stuffiness. Great for every day dining, or dinner with friend.

Last weekend we had some Winnipeg friends in for 24 hours and wanted to take them to a hip restaurant with great food and Montreal ambience and Lemeac fit the bill. With the four of us starving but knowing the women fill easily only 2 starters were ordered. One was a crab cake which 3 of the 4 of us... More

Great food in a good location. Nice decor. Have been going for many years. It has not lost it's charm, great food & service. Always have a special of the day plus standards that we just love. Desserts are great . Only complaint, wine by the glass is pricey for what you get. Great after 22:00 p.m. Prices drop considerably.

Staying in Outremont

Neighborhood Profile
Outremont
Outremont, a quaint residential district just north of Downtown, is a peaceful, low-key setting known for its mod cafes and bistros, and some of the best walking territory Montreal has to offer. Visitors can explore the flowering parks and manor estates of Maplewood Street, then window-shop the popular bakeries and coffeehouses on main arteries of Chemin de la Côte-Sainte-Catherine and Rue Van Horne. The modern granola feel is complemented by contemporary art exhibitions, rotating theater productions, and a welcoming public library. Also a nexus for the city's Hasidic Jewish culture, Outremont's diversity resounds in its cuisine and in its architecture. Visit the colorful neighborhood to take advantage of boutique shopping on Avenue Laurier, or to test the artisanal flavors of Avenue Bernard, braving a salmon burger on a squid-ink bun or accommodating your sweet tooth with a provincial chômeur pudding. A visit to Outremont is a relaxing day.
