I've been to many nice place in Paris, London and many more in Europe and LeMenac was able to outstand many of these place easily. The food was refine. The place was warm and the staff pleasant. A big recommendation for any who happen to be in Montreal

We had a great dinner here. Food was very good, the staff was helpful and attentive and it had a nice vibe. I would highly recommend this place.

LeMeac is an interesting place. Service was slow, but we're finding that a lot here in Montreal in the summer, so not sure if we need to adjust our service expectations, or if the service here was just particularly slow (though I must add the servers were very friendly and accommodating when they were around). Anyway, food was very good,... More

Nice variety on this menu. I had the duck confit and was pleased overall, although the duck itself was slightly dry. I was more impressed with the chèvre chaud appetizer, that had a nice crunchy coating and the cheese was soft and flavorful. Dessert portions are very small, but full of flavour. I tried the chocolate banana popcorn caramel cake... More

When for brunch last Sunday. It was ok, nothing more. Mimosa look and taste like they are done with orangina. I had the omelet (menu is very short) which was very good, but the UGE side salad was boring. Only lettuce and dressing. Our waitress was very great, but the front hostess and the one who toke us at our... More

The restaurant is one of the best in Montreal, totally recommend it for an amazing food experience. For lunch you can take a special lunch menu or order a la carte, and there is a separate menu offer for dinner. There is also a special menu for a late dinner after 10pm! As for the food -everything on the menu... More

Just went to Lemeac for lunch with my wife and another couple we had not seen in a long time. Had a great meal on the terrace. We actually spent two hours there without being pushed or made feel ill at ease. Great place to have a conversation in the summertime in Montreal as it is not too noisy and... More

We ate dinner here tonight and had an amazing server named Colin who made the experience even more phenomenal. He started by recommending a great wine (Revolution) and made excellent recos from appetizers to entrees to dessert. You have to try the French Toast dessert.

What a great place. We had reservations for 2 on a Friday night and had a wonderful table by the window overlooking the street. The service was attentive, but not overbearing. The menu offered a number of great options - for fish and/or meat lovers. The atmosphere had more of a neighborhood feel than the tourist areas of Old Montreal.... More

Not the first visit to this exquisite restaurant! We go there on special occasions! The choices on the menu are quite delicious! You won't be dissappointed! The service very amicable and effective! And as mentioned in my title, I would really advise you to try their version of the "Pain Perdu", it is to die for...

Staying in Outremont

Neighborhood Profile
Outremont
Outremont, a quaint residential district just north of Downtown, is a peaceful, low-key setting known for its mod cafes and bistros, and some of the best walking territory Montreal has to offer. Visitors can explore the flowering parks and manor estates of Maplewood Street, then window-shop the popular bakeries and coffeehouses on main arteries of Chemin de la Côte-Sainte-Catherine and Rue Van Horne. The modern granola feel is complemented by contemporary art exhibitions, rotating theater productions, and a welcoming public library. Also a nexus for the city's Hasidic Jewish culture, Outremont's diversity resounds in its cuisine and in its architecture. Visit the colorful neighborhood to take advantage of boutique shopping on Avenue Laurier, or to test the artisanal flavors of Avenue Bernard, braving a salmon burger on a squid-ink bun or accommodating your sweet tooth with a provincial chômeur pudding. A visit to Outremont is a relaxing day.
