Sunday Brunch

Our hotel concierge recommended this restaurant for a first timer doing brunch in Montreal - we were not disappointed! Service was fantastic, food delicious! I recommend getting reservations as this place is very busy. It was a great mix of native Montreal folks and tourists alike.

First off, I would like to clarify that due to the circumstances described below, I was unable to sample the food. My review serves mainly as a guide for people who want a more young and trendy place to eat... My husband made reservations at LeMeac based on the rave reviews this restaurant had received. Upon entering, the first thing... More

Amazing dishes , a real french restaurant with amazing dishes that makes you want to come back often, nothing compared to this restaurant in Montreal, besides having the best dishes and entrees and desserts the ambiance is very realizing and comfortable, a must visit!

If you wish an authentic French experience this is one of the places to go to. Great food and wine. Best crusty baguette. The service is friendly and accommodating. The lunch crowd Friday noon felt like walking into a bistro in Paris for a relaxed lunch. Not fast food so go there if you plan on a pleasant lunch experience... More

I didn't have a fancy dinner at LeMeac but rather a light dinner. I started with a great tasting escargot appetizer followed by a romaine salad with a quarter breast of heavily smoked chicken. The chicken was tender and extremely flavorful. The restaurant is tres chic and I highly recommend it.

Recently enjoyed a very good Sunday Brunch with my husband and a dear friend. Service was very good, setting quite nice and our meals were delicious. My husband and our friend enjoyed the poached eggs with salmon and blinis with caviar. I had poached eggs with sausages, bacon, potatoes and duck beans. Very hearty and duck beans were extraordinary!

Great food and a great experience. Sat in the closed terrace this time as I find the dining room a tad "busy" (The bar is a another great place to sit) Minestrone soup was excellent, my steak came with what I thought was too many fries but still good. Wait staff has a good knowledge of what new wines they... More

Great food, nice atmosphere and comfortable restaurant. Terrasse available for the warmer days. Big portions as opposed to the usual 'french' cuisine we are used to. Desserts are to die for especially their French toast… yummy! Make sure to make reservations ahead of time; within the same week impossible to get.

There's a category missing in Tripadvisor's rating categories. The restaurant was good, above average but not very good. The restaurant is very pleasant, and very well located. There is a lot of space and light, with large windows onto Laurier Street. The service was good. The waitresses smiles appeared genuine. The service was prompt, most of the time. There were... More

St. Valentines, it's full at 10 pm and people are still lining up to come enjoy their incredible food. Their grilled calamari, out of this world. The Salmon tartar with truffle oil, delicious. You cannot leave without having the French Toast desert!!!

Staying in Outremont

Neighborhood Profile
Outremont
Outremont, a quaint residential district just north of Downtown, is a peaceful, low-key setting known for its mod cafes and bistros, and some of the best walking territory Montreal has to offer. Visitors can explore the flowering parks and manor estates of Maplewood Street, then window-shop the popular bakeries and coffeehouses on main arteries of Chemin de la Côte-Sainte-Catherine and Rue Van Horne. The modern granola feel is complemented by contemporary art exhibitions, rotating theater productions, and a welcoming public library. Also a nexus for the city's Hasidic Jewish culture, Outremont's diversity resounds in its cuisine and in its architecture. Visit the colorful neighborhood to take advantage of boutique shopping on Avenue Laurier, or to test the artisanal flavors of Avenue Bernard, braving a salmon burger on a squid-ink bun or accommodating your sweet tooth with a provincial chômeur pudding. A visit to Outremont is a relaxing day.
