A very nice room, pleasant service, and more than adequate food. I began with the ragoût d'escargots, a small but tasty appetizer, and followed with a tartare de saumon à huile de truffe. Very good. The other offerings on the menu run the gamut of bistro fare, with an emphasis on grilled meats. A bit noisy but not impossible to... More

Best to reserve in advance, especially for Sunday brunch. Enjoy a fresh-squeezed orange juice, mimosa or bloody mary to start, follow with the salmon with poached eggs on blinis or the gravlax, end with the blancmange with fresh fruits and a coffee. the reception desk area with an adjacent coat rack can become annoyingly crowded at peak times with slow... Hands down, this is THE Montreal bistro in a city that is puportedly a city of such restaurants: it's L'Expresse with a better menu and way less attitude and what Laloux should have/could have become but somebody let that get away. Noisey and active and full of all kinds of watchers and the watched, the after 10 menu is terrific... More

I loved this restaurant - and it was my first time going. The salmon tartar was by far the best I've ever had so far in town. Dinner offerings are some classic french choices but all well made. I definitely recommend this place to anyone who either loves french cuisine or who wants to discover. Spring/Summer time buzz is outrageous... More

My husband & I had a late dinner at LeMeac and it was fantastic! For only $25 each for an appetizer and entree, it was definitely worth a visit. I had the Panko fried Goat Cheese and Beef Tartare, whereas my husband had the house smoked salmon and home made blood pudding, celery root purée, cider sauce. It was all... More

Lemeac delivered beyond expectation. excellent boudin, superb salmon tartar. good service. Wine list is on par. St-Julien was well adapted. the only thing may be that it is a little bit noisy...... Leméac is a well-established upscale french bistro in the Laurier Ouest neighborhood (where there are quite a few very nice restaurants). We have had it recommended to us by several different friends and have been meaning to try it out for quite some time. The menu has all the staples you might expect from a french bistro (duck confit, steak... More

We arrived on Saturday in time for dinner at Restaurant Lemeac. A casual French restaurant, the atmosphere and service were good but the food was inconsistent. I started with a Chevre Chaud and my partner had the Vegetable Tian. The chevre chaud was very nice, a modern version, panko crusted with lightly dressed frisee on top. Walnuts and apples added...
