Reservoir has Inspired Food and Brave Beer

I try to make a point of going to Reservoir every so often when I'm in the Plateau. Since their kitchen is open until Midnight, it's an ideal bar to grab a bite in while you have a pint of beer made onsite. Their talented kitchen staff use a lot of fresh, local ingredients. We visited Reservoir for brunch and it did not disappoint. I was expecting traditional brunch fare and the creativity in the selection of the menu items was a delightful surprise. We had pork belly, veal tongue with grilled cheese, potato and cream corn baked on top of a ham and veg mixture, and pancakes. Not your everyday breakfast items but... More

It's always a pleasure to go to Reservoir as every week they present a new menu and every week I do not know what to pick: everything looks so yummy. The atmosphere is great. I always fight with my spouse to go there :)

I had wanted to visit Reservoir for the Sunday brunch for some time because of it's great reviews but I just never seem to make it there. I was able to visit Sunday night for supper with my family and I am very Happy I did. The location is great, it is very comfortable and inviting. There are two floors... More

Was taken here by a friend that used to live around the corner. Food was beautiful, tasty and well presented. I was not impressed by the high-end prices.

This bistro is really cozy, the wooden tables are really chic. The food is really great, but they stop serving at 1030 or 11, then they only serve small tapas-like dishes like olives, cheese plates and homechips - which are delicious as well. Their beers are homebrewed and really good. They fill their mixed drinks with a generous amount of... More

We walked in and were greeting by the friendliest man; he spend half of our time together explaining the food, answering our questions and giving us french lessons all with a smile. The food was absolutely fabulous; everything served on cutting boards was a quaint touch. The coffee dark and robust and thoughtful as they brought a small personal carafe... More

My husband and I stopped here on a weeknight to sample the beer. They brew their own here, which is really nice. The Bière aux cerises was fantastic, as i love a sour beer. I also had an expensive ($10) but very tasty glass of white wine. The food prices were very high, so we didn't order any. Service was... More

Very good choices of beers and the slate menu is wonderful. You have to try their homemade chips,,hummmmm! Also they have a second floor terrace.

Service and Beer are excellent, i do suggest the cream ale... But go instead to Comptoir 21 on St-Viateur for the fish & chips. Place is a bit dark, but nice atmosphere to relax and sip one cold. Terrasse is great to nose down the people strolling on the Main corner Duluth. Famous brunch served on Sumdays...

Staying in Le Plateau Mont-Royal

Neighborhood Profile
Le Plateau Mont-Royal
Go native in Plateau Mont-Royal, where bespoke shopping, hip eateries, and wacky paint jobs attract locals and transplants alike, making it one of the city's most diverse and distinctly authentic experiences. A creative hub, Montreal's artistic elite pack the cafes along Rue Saint-Denis, where young painters and fashion designers draw inspiration from the playful murals and stately Victorian homes that dot the Plateau's side streets. Not a major sightseeing destination, a visit to Plateau Mont-Royal allows you to enjoy a local perspective, soaking in indie films, latte art, contemporary galleries, and the city's best bagels. A center of polyglot culture, Québécois accents mingle with shades of Portuguese, Greek, and Hebrew in the area's iconic Mile End district, where restaurants straddle chic designer boutiques, serving up chorizo and caldo verde. Friendliest to those on foot, it's a jungle of colorful awnings and sidewalk umbrellas, pedestrian walks and luxury shopping.
