Great find for great service and poutine

It being our first trip to Montreal we wanted to try poutine. We were glad we stopped at Patati Patata. Although the place is small, they were able to make room for us at the counter. It was entertaining watching the 'kitchen dance' the food preparers needed to do in order to choreograph getting... read more

Really nice place with a diner(ish) type of feel to it. The owner was super helpful, told him we were visiting from NY and he recommended his best seller which was really good. The one thing i enjoyed the most about this places food were the portion sizes. While the burgers were on the small side compared to burgers in... More

I first discovered this quaint little French fry joint in the late 90's by fluke. It honestly hasn't changed a bit over the years, the food is outstandingly fresh, you watch them make it right in front of you. The quality is there, the freshness and the flavors are right on point. The downside is also part of its charm,... More

Two of my sons, wifey and I went for a "snack" today. Two beer, 3 delicious poutines, one hamburger and one salad-poutine for 37$. All delicious, all really well made, really cool dudes behind the counter. This "hole in the wall" is well worth the visit. Yes...hole in the wall because it seats a maximum of 10 people. But we... This is one of my favorite restaurants in the city! Best burgers (small burger in bakery buns) thin fries and side salads made up of several fresh veggies all for pretty cheap. Tiny space often packed but a very competent staff that has been there for years will take care of you shortly even though you're not sure they've seen... More

Small place but with a staff so friendly. They try to make yourself as comfortable as they can, we were five and still they succeeded to find us some place. The food is great and very affordable, and it is possible to order take-out so don't hesitate !

You could easily go right by this great little restaurant, but if you make the effort, you will find no disappointment here! Service as well as the food are great! Little hamburgers, not sliders, and their fries are to die for all for a great price! I recommend!!!

This small tiny restaurant was recommended to us by a friend. From the classic poutine, the Patatine (poutine with onion and mushroom), to the hamburger with poutine, the food was delicious, the price was reasonable and we all enjoyed it very much. Patati Patata is charming and adorable, and the staffs are friendly. But don't expect anything fancy, as it... More

Staying in Le Plateau Mont-Royal

Neighborhood Profile
Le Plateau Mont-Royal
Go native in Plateau Mont-Royal, where bespoke shopping, hip eateries, and wacky paint jobs attract locals and transplants alike, making it one of the city's most diverse and distinctly authentic experiences. A creative hub, Montreal's artistic elite pack the cafes along Rue Saint-Denis, where young painters and fashion designers draw inspiration from the playful murals and stately Victorian homes that dot the Plateau's side streets. Not a major sightseeing destination, a visit to Plateau Mont-Royal allows you to enjoy a local perspective, soaking in indie films, latte art, contemporary galleries, and the city's best bagels. A center of polyglot culture, Québécois accents mingle with shades of Portuguese, Greek, and Hebrew in the area's iconic Mile End district, where restaurants straddle chic designer boutiques, serving up chorizo and caldo verde. Friendliest to those on foot, it's a jungle of colorful awnings and sidewalk umbrellas, pedestrian walks and luxury shopping.
