Like coming back to your gran-ma's

I left the village district 3 years ago. Mozza stayed and didn't changed. Yes, there are more lights and more disco in the bathrooms... but the pastas are the same, the signature dishes are still the same, the menu is still the same. I'm even wondering if the clients are not just the same. In a... read more

I'm extremely biased to all Italian restaurants because I still eat my grand mothers home made italian food, so saying that Mozza was not bad is a compliment. I was shocked by the 25$ price on the bocconcini & prosciutto pizza, but it does come with two appetizers, which is a pretty good deal. Pizza was thin, not quite fully... More

We had the 3-course dinner at Mozza and everything was fresh and tasty! You can tell the ingredients are of high quality. We even saved room for dessert and did not regret it. We sat outside during the late evening time and the atmosphere was great. Oh, and the restrooms... I'm not going to spoil the surprise but they're without... More

was there for chocolate shrimp fettucini, was alright but way to rich to finish this plate, will not recommend this dish unless your into heavy cream sauce.

Always excellent service and gourmet pasta at this charming eatery in the Village. Service is always very attentive, and to top it all off, you bring your own wine. Excellent spot for small groups or for a couple.

We were in a bit of a hurry due to a late softball game. We stopped here for dinner. Let the waitress know our dilemma. The five of us ordered food and it was out within 8 minutes. No lie. They were very good. Food was excellent. A little bit pricey. But that's montreal.

It is easy to have a full restaurant when it is that small sits about 50 customers max. The menu has been the same for years, and the staff is anything but nice and friendly. The pastas are NOT homemade and this is a major problem I have with pasta places. I make my own pastas because I like fresh... More

This restaurant has good food a good amount of choices and a quick to fairly quick service it also has a nice environment perfect for children. Make a reservation because its not always easy to get in because it is too busy.

I had high hopes for this restuarant based on the reviews but was very disappointed. It has a nice atmosphere and our server was very nice but the food was poor. We had the Ceaser salad that is provided with each meal and it was so laden with dressing, I could not finish it. I had the pasta with shrimps... More

The staff and management were extremely rude. The ordering process took about 20 mins and the experience was so vile, we left without actually ordering. Places like these should not be supported.

Staying in The Village (Gay Village)

Neighborhood Profile
The Village (Gay Village)
The rainbow pillars of Beaudry Métro Station shepherd the way into to The Village, one of the largest hubs for gay and lesbian culture in North America. With an open layout and a congenial aura, the refurbished buildings along Rue Sainte-Catherine pay a special homage to menswear and to caffeine, with showrooms and cafes. By morning, the antiquing gems along Amherst Street are packed with collectors. An incredible party spot, The Village comes alive at night, when clubs, bars, and dance halls open their doors and the revelry is high, epitomized by the fanciful trimmings of the apropos Oscar Wilde building. From May to September, the area closes to automotive traffic, allowing restaurant terraces to pour onto the streets, creating a dynamic sense of community. Les Boules Roses, thousands of pink baubles, are hung to welcome in the festivals and celebrations, including Montréal en Arts, Divers-Cité, and the Pride Parade.
