After only really considering packaged bagels at the grocery store for years, I could easily walk by them. However, on a recent trip to Montreal, a friend recommended Fairmount Bagels .... swore they are the best. So we took a huge detour to pick some up and we weren't disappointed. They're nothing like the grocery store, pre-packaged bagels. Taste, texture,... More

I went in with a friend who was on a mission to find Montreal's best bagels. It was remarkable watching the staff prepare the bagels behind the counter and the smell was absolutely delicious!

During a visits to Montreal, my companion and I were on a long walk from our Airbnb to Mount Royal, and we needed sustenance. We decided to grab two bagels to go from Fairmount Bagel. Even without any spread, and eaten from the bag as we walked, this bagel completely wowed me. I had the multi-grain and it was absolutely... More

You heard so much about it... the famous Montreal-style bagels. Hand-rolled, chewy on the inside bagels, golden on the outside... unlike the bread variety that's NOT a began. This is one of two establishments in the city that are re-known for this specialty. It's located in the hip Mile-End/Park Ex area. Walk into this small establishment and you are surrounded... More

I went to university in Montreal and remember trekking to Fairmount Bagel at all times of day and night to eat their more than delicious bagels. Every time I go back, I have to buy at least a couple dozen to bring home. It is always so exciting to take that first bite. There is nothing like them anywhere else,... More

Can't get any better than this - especially when their hot out of the fire oven. Drive up, order a couple of dozen - we usually buy 1 dozen sesame seed and 1 dozen poppy seed - and try to not eat them all before you get home!

can't get Montreal - styled bagels where I live in Ontario so anytime I am in Montreal, we HAVE to make a trip to bring bagels back home. Picked up one dozen sesame bagels Dec.29th and 8 are already gone! LOVE THEM SO MUCH!

My husband and I made it a priority to stop here during our visit. It was a little crazy, but we ordered a half dozen bagels (sesame, garlic, and onion) to stash for breakfasts on our Montreal vacation for the next few days. It was very easy to get to the bagel shop, and though it was a little busy,... More

I think the overwhelming number of people who suggested, nay, demanded that I go to Fairmount for a bagel immediately gave me some lofty expectations of what kind of magic these delectable rings of dough are harnessing. Do they contain the secret to happiness? Unicorn tears? No, But they are good. I had a sesame- it was warm (yes!!), good... More

Excellent bagels either to go by dozen or half a dozen with many options. You can also get the salmon and cheese version ready to go.
