I kept thinking that we were in the wrong entrance because it seems like you walk straight into the bagel factory. In fact, you have to turn to the right and weave (single-file) through stacks of bagels to get to a small counter where you make a quick order and get handed a bag of bagels immediately. This was our first time to Montreal, so we were excited to try these famous bagels, and compare them to our bagels here in the NE US. They were delicious, and having tried the sesame bagels at both St. Viateur and Fairmount, we unanimously agreed that Fairmount has the upper hand. Delicious!!! more

The sesame bagels are almost as good as St. Viateur, but the some of the other flavors are hit or miss. Lines are long, so try to go at an off hour. more

Good bagels. Neat experience as people were lined up outside. 18 flavours to choose from. We ate at St Viateur Bagels just before heading over to Fairmount and in my opinion Fairmount was better. more
