I had no idea it was THAT GOOD!

I had read online about Lola Rosa before visiting Montreal and I had a hint it was a great place to eat, but I had no idea it was THAT GOOD and I had no idea how popular it was! My daughter and I went at 11:45am on a Tuesday and walked in without a reservation and got one of... read more

Brilliant, friendly and definitely worth a visit. Very tasty good food. In studenty street just behind McGill and the main drag of Sherbrooke.

What a cool experience - a new vegetarian restaurant in McGill's Ghetto. Lots of menu choices - all vegan and/or vegetarian with a hint of spice and Mexican flair. Will definitely return. Some favorites that I recommend include: burrito, curry and chili. Also, definitely leave room for dessert - we had the brownie and creme brulee - both of which... More

This restaurant is just awesome. Close to Peel Station with excellent vegetarian food and friendly stuff. Try the Brownie for dessert. Yumm!

My friend had wax paper stuck to the cheese in her cheeseburger. Her sister had a piece of hair inside her lasagna. The waitress attacked us when we took a picture of the paper inside the burger. Both meals were given for free but the waitress was really disrespectful and kept making excuses rather than apologizing and getting to the... More

I could eat at Lola every day. I've been here hundreds of times and it never disappoints. The location on Milton is cramped (waited outside in the winter a couple of times because there's nowhere to wait inside) & the service is sometimes slow, but it's all worth it once you're in. The burrito and their quiches are my absolute... More

By far one of my FAVOURITE places in Montreal. When lunch or dinner is a question Lola Rosa's is always the answer for me and for my friends. I trust the chefs whole-heartedly and always enjoy the specials and soups of the day. During the winter months I don't even ask I just order the soup of the day because... More

Food was excellent, waiters were nice and casual. We had the quesadillas, nachos and veggie-burger, which were all very tasty.

As I have been a vegetarian for quite a few years and just recently moved to Montreal, it was time to see what this beautiful food-wise has to offer. And it didn't disappoint me at all. The location of the café is superbe, close to McGill uni and the main shopping street as well as several bus stops and metro... More

Staying in Le Plateau Mont-Royal

Neighborhood Profile
Le Plateau Mont-Royal
Go native in Plateau Mont-Royal, where bespoke shopping, hip eateries, and wacky paint jobs attract locals and transplants alike, making it one of the city's most diverse and distinctly authentic experiences. A creative hub, Montreal's artistic elite pack the cafes along Rue Saint-Denis, where young painters and fashion designers draw inspiration from the playful murals and stately Victorian homes that dot the Plateau's side streets. Not a major sightseeing destination, a visit to Plateau Mont-Royal allows you to enjoy a local perspective, soaking in indie films, latte art, contemporary galleries, and the city's best bagels. A center of polyglot culture, Québécois accents mingle with shades of Portuguese, Greek, and Hebrew in the area's iconic Mile End district, where restaurants straddle chic designer boutiques, serving up chorizo and caldo verde. Friendliest to those on foot, it's a jungle of colorful awnings and sidewalk umbrellas, pedestrian walks and luxury shopping.
