truly one of the best in Montreal

french cuisine always with a Twist, staff is so humble and friendly, excellent service, delicious food, price is just right, one of the best places in Montreal, good for business and a romantic dinner. I prefer their a la carte menus rather than the prepared 4-5 course menus they have sometimes.

The first time we ate in this restaurant many months ago, the food was wonderful, the presentation was beautiful, the ambiance and service was so pleasing....so we returned, and returned and returned many more times. if possible, it keeps on getting better and better! So much thought is put into the menu...the choices, the ingredients, the young chefs, the server... More

Best restaurant experience in Montreal! Service was superb, waiter made sure we were well informed about the menu before our selection. They have a great selection of wine and beer, great cocktails too! The food is very interesting, beautifully presented but not overly pretentious. Highlight was sitting at the bar and watching the chefs prepare each dish with precision. Nice... More

Laid-back fine dining. A great atmosphere :). The food is nicely garnished. You require a reservation.

One of our associé which lives in this beautiful city made reservations for us to dine at this fine establishment before we headed back to NYC! I loved everything about my experience here. From the par excellence wait staff and the decadent meal and dessert, I would recommend this restaurant.

When it came time to research a Montreal restaurant where we could mark a significant birthday for my wife, I turned to Tripadvisor, and found Les Deux Singes de Montarvie. The reviews were glowing and I booked three months ahead; the week before we were due to visit the restaurant called up and said they had ditched their regular menu... More

We had discovered this place by chance, we wanted to treat our parents out to a great evening and were blown away. The food, the service were fantastic. There was nothing that wasn't perfect. The floating island dessert could possibly be one of the best things I've ever eaten. The bison tartare, was fantastic, so too was the grilled octopus... More

Staying in Le Plateau Mont-Royal

Neighborhood Profile
Le Plateau Mont-Royal
Go native in Plateau Mont-Royal, where bespoke shopping, hip eateries, and wacky paint jobs attract locals and transplants alike, making it one of the city's most diverse and distinctly authentic experiences. A creative hub, Montreal's artistic elite pack the cafes along Rue Saint-Denis, where young painters and fashion designers draw inspiration from the playful murals and stately Victorian homes that dot the Plateau's side streets. Not a major sightseeing destination, a visit to Plateau Mont-Royal allows you to enjoy a local perspective, soaking in indie films, latte art, contemporary galleries, and the city's best bagels. A center of polyglot culture, Québécois accents mingle with shades of Portuguese, Greek, and Hebrew in the area's iconic Mile End district, where restaurants straddle chic designer boutiques, serving up chorizo and caldo verde. Friendliest to those on foot, it's a jungle of colorful awnings and sidewalk umbrellas, pedestrian walks and luxury shopping.
