Laid-back fine dining. A great atmosphere :). The food is nicely garnished. You require a reservation.

One of our associé which lives in this beautiful city made reservations for us to dine at this fine establishment before we headed back to NYC! I loved everything about my experience here. From the par excellence wait staff and the decadent meal and dessert, I would recommend this restaurant.

When it came time to research a Montreal restaurant where we could mark a significant birthday for my wife, I turned to Tripadvisor, and found Les Deux Singes de Montarvie. The reviews were glowing and I booked three months ahead; the week before we were due to visit the restaurant called up and said they had ditched their regular menu... More

We had discovered this place by chance, we wanted to treat our parents out to a great evening and were blown away. The food, the service were fantastic. There was nothing that wasn't perfect. The floating island dessert could possibly be one of the best things I've ever eaten. The bison tartare, was fantastic, so too was the grilled octopus... More

Managed to get a seat at the bar, which I can highly recommend as one can see how the fabulous food is made. Loved the creative and very tasty menu - everything was simply perfect. One of the best meals I have ever had. Wines and other drinks were excellent too. Very friendly staff. This place is a must for... More

This night out was the highlight of our Montreal trip. The staff make you feel like you are important and they want to make sure you have a good time. I enjoyed looking at the food as much as I did eating it. Wish I lived in Montreal so I could try everything on the menu.

Had an amazing meal here before, and was blown away again The duck ravioli and pork belly were both delicious The beef bavette was very nice. The bibimbap was the highlight, if you don't like kimchi get it on the side. All of this cost $94 with a can of pop. Service was attentive but not overbearing. Can't wait to... More

Staying in Le Plateau Mont-Royal

Neighborhood Profile
Le Plateau Mont-Royal
Go native in Plateau Mont-Royal, where bespoke shopping, hip eateries, and wacky paint jobs attract locals and transplants alike, making it one of the city's most diverse and distinctly authentic experiences. A creative hub, Montreal's artistic elite pack the cafes along Rue Saint-Denis, where young painters and fashion designers draw inspiration from the playful murals and stately Victorian homes that dot the Plateau's side streets. Not a major sightseeing destination, a visit to Plateau Mont-Royal allows you to enjoy a local perspective, soaking in indie films, latte art, contemporary galleries, and the city's best bagels. A center of polyglot culture, Québécois accents mingle with shades of Portuguese, Greek, and Hebrew in the area's iconic Mile End district, where restaurants straddle chic designer boutiques, serving up chorizo and caldo verde. Friendliest to those on foot, it's a jungle of colorful awnings and sidewalk umbrellas, pedestrian walks and luxury shopping.
