Tasted as good as it looked!

This restaurant takes pride in the presentation as much as they do the quality of everything they serve. To make things even better the level of service is exceptional. When my wife indicated that she wanted an alternative to alcoholic beverages, they suggested a virgin mango mojito. It was beautifully presented, so I just had to try it and it... More

They say that once can a fluke, twice can be a coincidence, but three times is a trend. I just finished eating for the third time in 9 months at Les Deux Singes de Montarvie and yet again I am blown away by the deeply personal service, exquisitely innovative menu, and incredibly complex flavors. I am so impressed with this... More

Thanks, first, to all of those who previously reviewed this enchanting little restaurant. Since we had nine nights in Montreal, our plan was to try the top nine restaurants reviewed here, adjusted slightly for our mostly vegetarian/some fish diet. However, after eating at the top four, my wife and I decided we simply had to eat this food again. And... More

Had a wonderful meal here. It is small and the menu is also small but that makes the place better. Service was wonderful! Food was wonderful also. We had the potato and corn puree which was a delight! The Artic Char was also wonderful. WE had 4 in out group so we had a chance to sample all of the... More

After reading all the reviews and looking at the beautiful photos, we were determined to come, even though we had to get a very late seating. It was Grand Prix weekend. The moment we sat down, we know we were in for a treat. The owner and staff were extremely attentive and starting with my own name reservation plague, the... More

Tucked in a slightly remote section of Montreal lies a pearl of a restaurant. Modestly furnished but clean and neat it is populated by a staff that is friendly and helpful. The artists/ chefs worked diligently slicing, dicing and preparing our food. We had four in our party and everyone felt that every dish permeated with flavors subtle and exciting... More

This very small restaurant makes up in size with its distinct food quality and outstanding service. Located away from the tourist zones, with mostly locals frequenting this neighborhood gem. A great wine selection, along with outstanding dishes revolving around the surf and turf tastes. Appetizers were plentiful, the fish entree was incredible, and deserts also mouth watering. The sale Nicoise... More

We were afraid this restaurant may be over rated by being top on tripadvisor, I can confirm it's not over rated and it's one of the best meals we had in Montreal. Everything about this place is perfect. Small, cosy, the staff is friendly, the chef is outstanding, the restaurant owner is super sweet. Everything on the menu is gorgeous... More

One of the greatest meals that I have ever had. very small restaurant, very personal, and terrific food. Every party had their food prepared separately and the attention to the presentation was unbelievable. A truly special evening. We had the puree ` awesome. The venison was spectacular, the char the best and the duck. Incredible!!

Staying in Le Plateau Mont-Royal

Neighborhood Profile
Le Plateau Mont-Royal
Go native in Plateau Mont-Royal, where bespoke shopping, hip eateries, and wacky paint jobs attract locals and transplants alike, making it one of the city's most diverse and distinctly authentic experiences. A creative hub, Montreal's artistic elite pack the cafes along Rue Saint-Denis, where young painters and fashion designers draw inspiration from the playful murals and stately Victorian homes that dot the Plateau's side streets. Not a major sightseeing destination, a visit to Plateau Mont-Royal allows you to enjoy a local perspective, soaking in indie films, latte art, contemporary galleries, and the city's best bagels. A center of polyglot culture, Québécois accents mingle with shades of Portuguese, Greek, and Hebrew in the area's iconic Mile End district, where restaurants straddle chic designer boutiques, serving up chorizo and caldo verde. Friendliest to those on foot, it's a jungle of colorful awnings and sidewalk umbrellas, pedestrian walks and luxury shopping.
