I always have a nice sushi meal here. If you go for lunch, it is usually quiet and peaceful and the service is great.

I went to eat at mikasa on February 16th and it was a really bad experience!! The only decent thing in a small way was the service. However the food was TERRIBLE! So if you want sushi in montreal that is good, avoid mikasa.

We went here on valentines day and had a really nice dinner. It was full but not very loud and the salad, soup and sushi were delicious! The salmon teriyaki was just okay. Definitely a good place, though a bit expensive.

Mikasa has become my favourite sushi restaurant in MTL. Considering the quality and originality of its dishes, Mikasa offers affordable options. Sushis are delicious!!! Maki de tartare are incredibly good also... The wine list offers various affordable options too. It is located downtown, offers a bilingual service (français et anglais), and the staff is very nice. Service can be a... More

This was my third and my Wife's first time eating here. Mikasa never disappoints with their flavor or presentation 5 star all around. We have both eaten sushi in Toronto and Vancouver and both cities could learn some styles Mikasa in Montreal. The menu is difficult to understand but the servers are bilingual and extremely helpful. A must go while... More

In Montreal this week for a show at the Bell Centre, we hadn't had sushi in a while so as this place was close and the reviews generally good, we decided to try it out. The restaurant is nice. The decor is nice, and it is a pretty large place. On a Tuesday night, it was quiet though. Even by... More

Even someone who eschews raw critters in any form--thus many traditional sushi are out!--can leave Mikasa satisfied and well-fed. One note to the restaurant: on the summer evening we dined there, the service staff were at least as numerous as the diners....but staff were more attentive to one another than to the guests, chatting by the bar while we tried... I don't like sushi, but did not have difficulty ordering at this restaurant. This restaurant was close to my hotel and it was raining so we ducked in to try the menu. Fabulous food with huge portions. Our waitress was awesome and tons of fun!

We had dinner at Mikasa at Peel on Friday 17. and ordered several speciality roll Maki dishes, some Sashimi and a Yellowfin tuna sushi. The Maki were beautifully arranged and tasted deliciously. The sashimi and the Yellowfin tuna were also very good. The staff were friendly and attentive and we'd definitely recommend the place.

I really liked the decor and ambiance of this restaurant. The waitress was extremely friendly and smiley but without being overbearing, which made the dining experience that much more enjoyable. With respect to the food, it was good. Not at all bad, but nothing outstanding about it. I would return but likely try some other similar restaurants first.
