Portuguese Frango!

Well i will not lie...i want Portuguese Chicken Piri-Piri that is where i go for it. Tasty Juicy and spiced to perfection, with Fries and salad this is my fast food indulge once in a while. Prices are more than honest, no wonder the lineup never ends around lunch and Dinner time.

after a brief shutdown, and a reno, chicken dinners are again flying out the door.simple is best, and they do prir-prir chicken as good as anyone in the city.when you can snag a bag of fries fresh out of the fryer, they are absolutely addictive.don't forget to order some custard tarts for dessert.this place is an institution for a reason.

It is definitely the best chicken I ever had. The hot sauce and spices poured on the chicken are awesome. Plates are big and price is really fair. Staff was really friendly. Note: I found that chicken were smaller than in other restaurant I tried. I usually order a 1/4 chicken but I found myself wishing I had ordered 1/2.... More

Six months later I still think of this delicious melange of rotisserie chicken, potatoes, salad and spicy Portuguese sauce (piri-piri)? It took us a long walk to get here, and an additionally long wait to put our order in. Totally worth it. Lots of people taking to go. Make sure you scope out a table because there isn't a lot... Recently spent 2 1/2 days in Montreal. I'd never had poutine and this place was recommended as a good place to try it, and also as a good place for a solo diner. I went around 7:30 p.m. the first time and the place was packed with long lines. I ended up ordering the "repas", which is not the poutine,... More

OMG!! The chicken is delicious! A must when in Montreal. There is usually a line but worth the wait! Very generous portions.

After reading reviews we tried this place and it was soo good, one of the best Portuguese chicken I've had. Portions are huge and prices are amazing. On top of that they have sweets and cakes of all kinds...bonus!

The line-ups are excessively long, the food is greasy, and service on Sunday, when the boss isn't around, is borderline rude at times. The older employees during the week are kind and generous, but on Sunday you might as well save your money or eat elsewhere; there are plenty of Portuguese grills in the area and they want your business,... Came here after making a long drive to Montreal wanting some fast and awesome food! Romados totally delivered on this. The chicken was fresh, crispy, and covered in some totally amazing sauce. The salad we got was also a great surprise, so good. I would recommend this to any traveler or Montreal resident - and I plan on going back... More

Staying in Le Plateau Mont-Royal

Neighborhood Profile
Le Plateau Mont-Royal
Go native in Plateau Mont-Royal, where bespoke shopping, hip eateries, and wacky paint jobs attract locals and transplants alike, making it one of the city's most diverse and distinctly authentic experiences. A creative hub, Montreal's artistic elite pack the cafes along Rue Saint-Denis, where young painters and fashion designers draw inspiration from the playful murals and stately Victorian homes that dot the Plateau's side streets. Not a major sightseeing destination, a visit to Plateau Mont-Royal allows you to enjoy a local perspective, soaking in indie films, latte art, contemporary galleries, and the city's best bagels. A center of polyglot culture, Québécois accents mingle with shades of Portuguese, Greek, and Hebrew in the area's iconic Mile End district, where restaurants straddle chic designer boutiques, serving up chorizo and caldo verde. Friendliest to those on foot, it's a jungle of colorful awnings and sidewalk umbrellas, pedestrian walks and luxury shopping.
