Confused why it was empty

My husband and I stopped here for a late afternoon snack after seeing it mentioned on a blog. We arrived at 5 and while other spots close-by were busy, we were the only ones here And no other customers arrived during our whole visit. Saw some of the poor reviews and really didn't understand why as we had a great experience here. Your taste buds will be all over the place with the magnificent tapas served here. I had the shrimp tempura, homemade kimchi lamb sliders, sweet potato fries with truffle oil and have to say, delicious. Spoke to the owner and he came... More

The buildup to this restaurant experience gave me high expectations. This place is small & dark - that was pretty much my favorite part. It was a bit noisy but we had an amazing banquette so my daughter & I could really chat it up. The waiter was aloof, cold & indifferent. We chose the 35$ a person multi-course selection... More

My husband and I ate here tonight for dinner. We ordered the stuffed dates, pulled duck crepe, pork tenderloin with polenta and I had a glass of wine. Everything was delicious! And, all the dishes came with a little side salad. We almost licked our plates. :). Our bill was about $54 before tip which seemed very reasonable to us.... More

Food is extremely good! Very good service, the owner is great. The owner makes sure that every customer is satisfied of the experience. Good variety in the menu. Worth the try if you are looking to try something new and different.

Yes, our waiter explained to us the concept of tapas = small plates of food. However, some of the prices seemed a little steep, i.e., $12 for a literal cup of calamari.

Three of us shared a number of dishes and felt that we'd maybe ordered too many (7) but they were all so good we managed to finish every bite. The lobster macaroni warrants it's price tag, we couldn't stop eating, but our favourite was the octopus, amazing flavour. Really pleased with our dinner choice.

The food was excellent, well prepared and so tasty. The deceiving thing was the server, oh my not really a place for him. It would have been a far more better experience. He asked if we had tapas which we did before in Barcelone, but he didn't care about our answer and most of the others, it was annoying. We... More

Snobby waiters, when you spoke to French from france waiter he talked down to you and the owners with no ability to listen to what you need, prices are outrageous for ridiculously small portions! No one wanted to own up to the fact that the food was too sweet neither the waiter nor the owner! Everything was doused in either... More

Staying in Quartier des Spectacles

Neighborhood Profile
Quartier des Spectacles
The bar-none entertainment district for music and arts, Quartier des Spectacles is an interactive playground that delights the senses. It totals over 30 performance halls, with the vibrant Place des Festivals at its heart. The outdoor event space features glowing towers, glass edifices, and granite-lined bike paths, and hosts annual festivals, concerts, and comedy nights. The cinema, theaters, and exhibition centers are entwined with external art projects, exemplified at Montreal's Contemporary Art Museum and appearing along every walkway of the Promenade des Artistes in the form of sculpture and public works, from digitally-enhanced swingsets to glowing fountains. Design, performance, and alternative music come together here, a stone's throw from the lively Latin Quarter along Rue Saint-Denis, the quintessential after-party spot for dinner and a drink following a day of jazz, poetry and play.
