I have been here twice, the service is very friendly and the tapas options are very nice. My friend loved her choice of lobster mac n cheese, while I really enjoyed the spicy chocolate "fondant" (type of lava cake) and wine suggestion. The waiter was very friendly and patient. We tried the swing seats and they were quite comfortable! It... More

To be honest, we had a good time at dinner. The server was great and the ambiance is decent, however, after good comments from a friend who had gone a few years previous, I was left disapointed. When I make a reservation for a dinner that is going to cost me close to 200$ a person with wine, I expect... More

It was an evening out for our family (adult kids). We ordered a selection of tapas, nice wine, plus dessert. The environment is great. On the dark side, interesting booth layouts, and not too loud. Staff was also very friendly though our particular server looked new as he struggled with several fairly simple things. No big deal as he was... More

This place was recommended by the B&B (I'll get to that later) where I was staying for a couple of nights. So, I showed up between 6:30 and 7pm. Resto was 2/3 full and all other tables were reserved. I was put at a small table by the wall facing the back of the restaurant..... No time to relax, within... More

We had an early dinner before visiting the Botannical Gardens. We hadn't booked but were soon found a table. Service was super efficient and the waiter recommended we choose 3 dishes each or have the set menu. My husband and mother-in-law chose the set menu and I ordered my 3 dishes. The portions were large so my fear of leaving... More

They accepted our late arrival even tho the kitchen would b closed in 45 min. Ordered the saganaki ( bread slice sized croutons were offered n helped tone down the richness)grilled octopus and hot foie gras. Was hoping to try the calamari but since it was late eve ,it was sold out. My partner and I enjoyed it immensely. Not... More

My husband and I stopped here for a late afternoon snack after seeing it mentioned on a blog. We arrived at 5 and while other spots close-by were busy, we were the only ones here And no other customers arrived during our whole visit. We sat outside but peeked iside which looked cute and noticed some seats that were swings... More

Staying in Quartier des Spectacles

Neighborhood Profile
Quartier des Spectacles
The bar-none entertainment district for music and arts, Quartier des Spectacles is an interactive playground that delights the senses. It totals over 30 performance halls, with the vibrant Place des Festivals at its heart. The outdoor event space features glowing towers, glass edifices, and granite-lined bike paths, and hosts annual festivals, concerts, and comedy nights. The cinema, theaters, and exhibition centers are entwined with external art projects, exemplified at Montreal's Contemporary Art Museum and appearing along every walkway of the Promenade des Artistes in the form of sculpture and public works, from digitally-enhanced swingsets to glowing fountains. Design, performance, and alternative music come together here, a stone's throw from the lively Latin Quarter along Rue Saint-Denis, the quintessential after-party spot for dinner and a drink following a day of jazz, poetry and play.
