Busy street in touristy old town but this one is worthwhile to drop in if you are thirsty! I did not eat food there but the beer was more than worth a visit. The food looked excellent for those outside. You must apparently buy food to sit on the terrace. Beer brewed on the premises delivers a... read more

Not good so not good. Let me break it down for you. Beautiful Saturday afternoon in Montreal, we have the jazz fest happening people everywhere it's a great day. So my girlfriend and I decide to enjoy the patio at Les 3 brasseurs we get a seat outside and order a pitcher of Sangria. Next we order for her mussels... More

Walking around and got hungry so stopped at this place. Nice atmosphere. Great selection of beers. Amazing service. Everyone was so nice. Could be just a Canada thing. Haha. Ordered the Poutine. My date never had it before. French fries, gravy and cheese curds. It was good but too salty for my taste. The tuna sliders were amazing. Just those... More

Les 3 Brasseurs is 2 blocks away from the Bell Center in Montreal. Its very large and has good pub food and a fine selection of micro brews and other drinks.

From the moment you walk in off of Rue Ste. Catherine you just have to smile. Exposed brick, gleaming copper and the sound of people having a good time let you know that you have made the right choice for lunch. Our server was incredible and oh so very French. My Moulles and Frits (Mussels and fries) were perfect. I... More

Myself and a friend had literally just hopped off of an 8 hour bus journey and stumbled upon this little gem. Our first time in Canada couldn't of been any nicer. The waitress was friendly and spoke fluent English. Menus were also provided in English. We both tried their signature burger which was cooked to perfection. I had a beer... More

Very friendly service and excellent food. Love microbreweries and this did not dissapoint! Outdoor seating available and many televisions inside. We began with flamme chips and I had a 6 flight. Wife went with the white beer. Interesting house beer... grapefruit. Tried it and was intrigued.

We went to this restaurant before going to the ladies World Cup (England won!) I had a macaroni cheese sandwich and it was wonderful. My husband had a flammekuche which was excellent too. Good friendly service .

We visited this place for some beers and sandwiches. This is a mix of brewery with sports bar. There are TV sets everywhere. The beers are excellent, very fresh. The atmosphere and service are outstanding. The sandwiches are good and the portions are on the large size. They have also a place outside for the smokers on the side street.

While in Old Montreal we stopped at this place to get a late afternoon drink. We were told here, as we were told at another restaurant, that outdoor seating was for people who were ordering food. We were not particularly hungry, but wanted to sit outside so we ordered an appetizer. It was ok. The seating was very crowded, but... More

Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighborhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
