Nice place, nice beers

Not so smiley at entrance, but great service at the upper bar, great beers and grear food. Try fish and chips, a very nice plate.

We were looking for a place where we could eat and watch the hockey game that was on that night. This was also the 1st thing we asked the waiter, whether they would show it, which she confirmed. The game started at 8:15pm but at 8:20 they still played music videos. When they finally put it on, the tvs closest... More

We were walking down the main boulevard in downtown Montreal looking for something to eat on a Sunday night. There were a lot of places that were open, but those were mostly bars that were serving drinks + food. We were looking for a bit more. We had passed by Les 3 Brasseaurs earlier in the week and it looked... More

Was out with 2 colleagues for dinner while at a conference. Delicious food, reasonably priced. Patio was a little tight, the people behind us kept bumping into us.

Nice little place to stop when your in the shopping section. The beer is awesome. Really enjoyed the BBQ pulled pork Poutine. What's not to love. french fries, cheese, bacon bits, pulled pork and gravy. It was so filling. The service was excellent and if you want to watch a hockey game then one of the 7 plasma screens will... More

It is a tough act to rate this establishment, since they have several branches and all differ. The one I am referring to is the one on Ste-Catherine street west, facing the former Eaton centre. The food portions are generous and some belgian specialties make it unique in its field; ex: the flammekueche is a very thin-crust pizza with a... More

Stopped here for lunch. The atmosphere is nice and the beer was good but the food not so much. We got a reuben and a burger. The reuben had hardly any meat in it in fact it was mostly sour kraut. The burger was dry and the meat used was just not good. I would stop by again but for... More

Decided to go to Les 3 Brasseurs with out of town friends. At entrance we waited for someone to lead us to a table, no one showed up so we decided to find a table, once we sat the service was not very quick and a few staples like bread and water were never brought until we had to ask... More

My wife and I are craft beer fans and always search out new spots whenever we visit a new city. We struck gold with Les 3 Brasseurs (The 3 Brewers for the English speaking out there). It was only a few blocks from our hotel near the Notre Dame Basilica. We each ordered a sampler pack of all the beers... More

As a Montrealer who works downtown, I sometimes go to have lunch in one of the 3 or 4 chain restaurant initially from Belgium. The one on Ste. Catherine Srteet near Eaton Center is a large place where the food is good and fresh and that is group and family friendly. I recommand the special pizzas they make there and... More

Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighborhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
