Go for the beer and atmosphere, not for the food

I've been to the 3 Brasseurs several times, always enjoy my pint and it can be fun to try out a flight of beer. At my last visit, however, the food was bad enough for me to feel the need to write a review. We had French onion soup and it was likely the worst French onion soup I've ever... read more

This is a chain, so prepare to be underwhelmed. My husband loves this place for the large beers and chicken wings. For my diet restrictions, this is not the place. If you want beer and comfort food, this will work for you.

We stumbled upon this bar-eatery on our walk back to our hotel from the Jazz festival. We had spent all day out and about in Montreal and weren't really looking to eat or drink anymore but 3 Brasseurs had its windows open, good music playing (though not too loud) and had an inviting scene. We were unfamiliar with the restaurant.... More

We were staying at a nearby hotel and found this restaurant in late evening on a weekday night at 9:30 pm. There were several restaurants with outdoor seating, but this seemed like the most receptive. We requested a table for 2, and noticed that there was a table for 2 that had been vacated but not cleared and a table... More

A safe bet but easily forgettable. Good beer. Ok food. Fair service. Don't avoid but don't go out of your way either.

We were staying at a hotel within walking distance of this establishment. We always sat at the bar. Enjoyed a nice cold beer & appetizer with friends. The staff working at the bar were so friendly & gave us plenty of tips during our stay in Montreal. I am back in Kansas now & miss this fun place already.

Perfect spot to people watch! Went 3 times during our weekend stay on Crescent St. Once for lunch, once for a late night snack, and once for an afternoon snack. Wait staff are very friendly and service was fast! Poutine was excellent, with just the right amount of gravy and curds. The gravy was nice and light and full of... More

We are in town to visit my cousin and ate dinner here yesterday. We all had the white beer, and we all really enjoyed it. We had the maxi fries, the pulled pork poutine (upgraded to maxi fries), the cheesy garlic bread, the popcorn shrimp, and the charcuterie board. The popcorn shrimp was the standout of the night and was... More

This is a great bar restaurant. The beer they serve is brewed locally and it is really good. It's close to the Bell Center so the place gets crowded if there's an event at the arena. There is a lot of atmosphere in the restaurant. Loud music, loud people, big screen. If you can, ask for a table on the... More

Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighborhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
