Our favorite plate of food ever!!!

My entire meal was spectacular. The setting was perfect. The service was perfect. But there is one item that topped all others. The piglet risotto appetizer which my wife and I shared, was the best plate of food either of us have ever had. Our server told me that item is always on the menu... read more

Food was very good, but dessert was prepared by small Asian woman and she showed up the chef. Waitress was a bit arrogant but this is Montreal so we kind of expect a bit of an attritide. That we got. Seating was tight. Ambience was just ok. 4 stars we generous. It was more like 3.5.

Wow - simply amazing. Service was impeccable and food was just dreamy. Started with their house 'ginger' cocktail - impressively crisp and strong! Had the oysters (served all 3 different ways) for appetizers. Dinner included duck and scallops. Simply dreamy - light, tasty and literally transported us to another place.... yum! Opted to have desert elsewhere....

Went here last night, based on reviews from Trip Adviser and from beginning to end, it was amazing. This place should be rated number one in Montreal. The service was almost personal with Gabrieal our server. Friendly and attentive but not overly. I had the duck and it was fantastic. Others had the salmon and the fois gras and as... More

We booked at Le Club after seeing Anthony Bourdain's visit to Montreal and it was wonderful! Helene looked after us and made the menu come alive. The pork risotto with shaved foie gras came covered with foie and was perfect. My husband had the daily surf and turf, butter poached lobster and Kobe steak - also delicious. The salted caramel... Was looking for a business friendly restaurant : Chic, Quality, easy for parking and to be not in your face kind of pretentious.... What a great surprise this restaurant was... I love living in Montreal area and just far enough so not to go back too often. Great service, ambiance and food along with fantastic location which is very very low key... More

Really enjoyed our dinner at this restaurant. Very cool, unassuming entrance. Food is outstanding. Wait staff were entertaining and happy to give recommendations. Everything on the menu is expertly cooked and beautifully presented.

Love the atmosphere and the unassuming entrance. The service was excellent and the meal was outstanding. We had the Frito misto, Fish and Pork and it was excellent. Our concierge recommended Le Club and we are so happy he did! The meal was perfect.

Although is rather expensive, the food is worth it. I didn't like the place, at least the inside decoration (outside is great) but the food is super tasty. Only downside (and the reason I didn't gave them 5 stars) is that they left us for 10 minutes outside in the freezing cold, even though it was heavily snowing just because... More

Great food and service, really cool setting. Highly recommend. I had just arrived in the city, tired and didn't want any alcohol, they didn't look down their noses when I requested a diet coke which was nice. Ordered 3 apps - the fritto misto, snow crab, avocado, nasturtium, braised piglet risotto, foie gras shavings and the foie gras terrine, quail,... More

Staying in Vieux-Montreal (Old Montreal)

Neighborhood Profile
Vieux-Montreal (Old Montreal)
The historic center of Montreal, Vieux-Port is home to some of the city's most antiquated buildings and picturesque streets. Along the waters of the St. Lawrence River, the bank of Old Port features museums, festivals, food stalls, and outdoor athletics, a celebrated part of the city that explodes into fireworks displays on warm summer nights. At its center, street performers and artists compete with sprawling restaurant terraces for space along Jacques-Cartier Square, while the cobbled streets of Rue St. Paul and Rue Notre-Dame offer a reprieve of quiet galleries and atmospheric wine bars. Horse-drawn carriages are not an uncommon part of traffic, and the narrows they traverse are lined with boutiques, crêperies, and poutine shops enshrined in buildings of stone and wooden lattices. Here you can evoke Montreal's past with a traditional cooking lesson or historical tour, then enjoy its artistic present with live music and theater.
