It was my second dinner at this restaurant, this time a group of four. Got seated at a nice and quiet corner table setting for a 6:00pm res, the chairs are as comfy as they come, table however required some Lego practice to not cause any tableware collisions. The wine list is outstanding. True to its name, the menu is... More

I have been to this restaurant many times and the food is always great as is the service. Comfortable and intimate, not noisy like some restaurants. Great service. Their scallops are to die for, and so is everything else on the menu for that matter, but their scallops are still my favorite. Please repost your recipe on your website. I... More

Despite asking for a nice table on the booking app, we got a crappy table for two that felt like it was in the hallway. Looking around, it seems they keep all the nice space for groups. Getting over that was easy, because the server was fantastic and the food was fantastic, though my wife's elk was so so. Not... More

Our second visit to this amazing restaurant and each time the highlight of our trips to Montreal. The food is outstanding, the service is perfect. My husband ordered the venison and I had the ocean delivery- I can't say I've ever had fish cooked so perfectly, and I probably never will again. (Until we go back again, that is!) The... More

Greeted warmly after braving a walk in the rain. Shown to a quiet table with what might be the most comfortable chair I've ever encountered in a restaurant. Mature, professional waitstaff. Happy with their recommendations re both food and wine. Service prompt and courteous. Would recommend as a "don't miss" in Montreal.

This restaurant is a sure thing, every time. Great food and great service. The ambiance is a quiet reserved type perfect for a dinner where hearing is required. The menu and their wine list is properly french and very able to meet the requirements of the most sophisticated. The service I would consider to at the top of the scale.

I had heard many positive comments for this place. Usually, I tend to be careful places that get only good review because I expect too much and I get deceived. But this place, didn't let us down. I was very happy when my husband took me there fore my birthday to finally try this restaurant. From the start everything was... More

Initially hesitated to write another review as I wanted to keep the is place to myself, but it seems the cat is out of the bag. I have dined here twice, both times was treated amazingly. One quick story...I had to park a block away, it was raining outside pretty hard. One of the employees offered to go get my... More

We ate here twice in one week, it was so good. Specializing in game, the combinations of dishes, the care and attention of flavored and textures were awesome. Wine list excellent, service very good.

Staying in Vieux-Montreal (Old Montreal)

Neighborhood Profile
Vieux-Montreal (Old Montreal)
The historic center of Montreal, Vieux-Port is home to some of the city's most antiquated buildings and picturesque streets. Along the waters of the St. Lawrence River, the bank of Old Port features museums, festivals, food stalls, and outdoor athletics, a celebrated part of the city that explodes into fireworks displays on warm summer nights. At its center, street performers and artists compete with sprawling restaurant terraces for space along Jacques-Cartier Square, while the cobbled streets of Rue St. Paul and Rue Notre-Dame offer a reprieve of quiet galleries and atmospheric wine bars. Horse-drawn carriages are not an uncommon part of traffic, and the narrows they traverse are lined with boutiques, crêperies, and poutine shops enshrined in buildings of stone and wooden lattices. Here you can evoke Montreal's past with a traditional cooking lesson or historical tour, then enjoy its artistic present with live music and theater.
