Good chilli!

My husband, my sister, who's vegetarian, her husband and I went there in the early afternoon. My sister was so happy she could finally eat a gyro and she really enjoyed it. I really enjoyed the Mexicali plate mostly the chilli. I must say that it is a vegan restaurant.

Lovely place, the food was unbelievable, big plates, gourmet, just awesome! I had the chocolate/banana pie and must be the best vegan dessert I have ever had!!

Love this place, the experience is interesting even if you are not vegan. It's my case, but I love having brunch or dinner at Aux vivres! I tried the burger many times and it was never a disappointment. Actually I feel that they care about every thing they serve to the client. Their smoothies are good as well.

My boyfriend and I are both vegan and from Ottawa so of course we had to try Aux Vivres during our most recent visit. We went on a Saturday evening and it was quite busy, with a bustling and vibrant atmosphere. Staff were friendly! We enjoyed a beer, a Bombay Banana smoothie (great if you're a fan of something different!)... More

Aux Vivres is a restaurant that serves delicious, tasty and fresh vegan food. I usually go for their delicious brunch and strongly recommend the Huevos Rancheros, which is basically scrumbled tofu, refried beans, guacamole, salsa, you also have a salad on the side and coffee. Eat this and then you are ready to hit the road and walk the streets... More

Pros The Chana appetizer was great to share for two (chickpeas with potatoes, curry, and roti). If you have tried Chana at other places, it is very similar. The faux mage cake (similar to cheesecake) was really good. The berries on top tasted odd, but the cake overall was great! The service was really good! It was the first time... More

I make sure to stop here each time I go to Montreal. They've expanded their seating but still have a to-go store. Food is fantastic and the service is always friendly. All vegan but you wouldn't know it (I asked a few times on our first visit because I just couldn't believe it). A must stop for all vegans in... More

I love it! it's vegan and it's healthy. I ate there almost four times and I wasn't disappointed! They have burgers, bols (I recommand the buddha bol), the mexican brunch (or smth) and of course the un-cheese cake :D

The front desk person at my hotel recommended Auxes Vivres. I have been there three times now - every time I visit Montreal. Twice I had the chili - very nice and a good sized bowl. Another time I had the tempeh burger. That last time I was there with meat eating work colleagues. Skeptical at first, they all found... More

Most of their dishes (bowls, salads, wraps and burgers) bring a fair share of satisfaction, but not all items on the menu are worth their price. I often find their seasoning to be a bit off: either too salty or too sour. Healthy options come at a price in Montreal, and this one is no exception

Staying in Le Plateau Mont-Royal

Neighborhood Profile
Le Plateau Mont-Royal
Go native in Plateau Mont-Royal, where bespoke shopping, hip eateries, and wacky paint jobs attract locals and transplants alike, making it one of the city's most diverse and distinctly authentic experiences. A creative hub, Montreal's artistic elite pack the cafes along Rue Saint-Denis, where young painters and fashion designers draw inspiration from the playful murals and stately Victorian homes that dot the Plateau's side streets. Not a major sightseeing destination, a visit to Plateau Mont-Royal allows you to enjoy a local perspective, soaking in indie films, latte art, contemporary galleries, and the city's best bagels. A center of polyglot culture, Québécois accents mingle with shades of Portuguese, Greek, and Hebrew in the area's iconic Mile End district, where restaurants straddle chic designer boutiques, serving up chorizo and caldo verde. Friendliest to those on foot, it's a jungle of colorful awnings and sidewalk umbrellas, pedestrian walks and luxury shopping.
