Good smoked meat 24 hours a day.

One of the recommended places for Montreal smoked meat. This place is open all night.A sandwich with fries, slaw and pickle will set you back 18 bucks plus drinks but it is something you have to try.

I can only say that the Reuben sandwich was amazing. In the past ten years or so, Smoked or Corned beef has become so lean that it has lost its deliciousness. The waitress offered me a choice of lean, medium, or fat. I chose fat! It was the corned beef that I had eaten as a child and every bit... More

I hadn't eaten here in years but had a chance to return during a trip to Montreal. If you want a Montreal smoked meat sandwich there is no other option. The rest of the food on the menu is probably good too but for me Dunn's and sandwiches can't be beat.

We went for lunch on a Friday afternoon. Slight queue but not too much of a wait. Three of us are and had pasta, poutaine and one of the smoked meat sandwiches. Really generous portions and quick service. We did find the sauces a bit bland but a good dose of Parmesan and salt & pepper sorted that out. Reasonable... More

Went looking for some breakfast and decided to try this iconic Deli. Instead of breakfast we decdided to do what one should do when visting Monreal and had their small Montreal sandwich combo. Yikes, not so small but it was very good. Probable a good thing as we watched breakfast platters being delivered to other tables that were huge...

A friend recommended this hideaway restaurant. We did have to do some searching, but it was definitely worth it. They had several different meats - all smoked and shredded served in a variety of combinations, Sandwiches, of course, half or whole, they were packed with tender, juicy smoked beef. Similar to corned beef but smoked. My friend ordered a unique... More

Ate here twice while in Montreal with my grandma. It was conveniently close to our hotel, which was nice because my grandma was having a hard time walking. All the staff speaks great English and French. And the menu offers both as well. The food was very classic Canadian style food, and good- though I didn't try the smoked meat... More

This is a very good place in Montreal for the Original smoked meat. Nice and clean place. Fresh food, and good cold beer. In the summer there is a terrace.

Always a great choice for smoked meat and poutine. I've tried a couple other dishes and while they are acceptable, I do always return to the standard. The last time I was in they were having some AC problems, and it was dripping water onto certain tables. Maybe time to do some repairs as it was quite a few tables... More

Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighborhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
