Don't get fooled by the other Dunn's

I had a horrible meal in Ottawa but this one's different. I won't say it's the best deli in Montreal but it's not a bad choice.

There are many very good things to eat at Dunn's and the menu offers lots of possibilities. Because it is rare to be able to enjoy the same choices in vegetarian burgers I want to highlight that at Dunn's. I love the 1927 veggie version with their special sauce and all the trimmings (I leave off the bacon, which I... More

The food was just so fresh and yummie, the decor very cool. We had the poutine with meat on top, for appetizers the picked plate, so delicious and the famous dunn sandwich with meat.

Traveled to this location from ottawa after being highly recommended by friends. The place has a family friendly atmosphere, had to wait for 15 min. To find us a table for 6, which wasnt too long taking in mind that it was a Saturday evening. Ordered the famous smoked meat sandwiches, they were yummy, it comes with coleslaw and fries,... More

Decided to send them a token of appreciation because there are hardly any places in town that would serve you your Smoke Meat just how you want it with a big smile and positive attitude... Keep it up!

If a big smoked Montreal meat sandwich type - this is the place to go. Good service - good eats. For a famous deli-Id like to see some updates made to the establishment and new clean menus.

I went with a group of work colleagues. None have been there before. Of course we got the smoked meat...some added poutine. Our sandwiches were great and we had probably one of the best experiences with a server in a long time!! He was a student on break and an absolute joy to have met. He made the experience THAT... Went to Dunns for the second time and was not disappointed. The smoke meat is honestly good. At $13.00 you get the small sandwich with fries and coleslaw. I remember the good old days you paid $5.99 for this exact plate. Lol The place is nice and service is very attentive. I will surely go back.

Had multiple meals at this location and enjoyed everyone of them. Service was quick and good and every time I go to Montreal I go this place. May not be the original Smoked Meat restaurant but good alternative from Swartz's. All depends on where you are staying in the Montreal area. You won't be disappointed if you eat here.

Had a grood meal here on a cold winter night. I enjoyed the Montreal smoked meat on a Montreal style bagel. The portion size was very generous and the food was served quickly and came out hot. The atmosphere in the restaurant is an old style dinner - but it seemed very clean and there was pride of ownership. The... More

Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighborhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
