My friends and I were looking for a place to have lunch, before heading off to the craft show at Place Bonaventure. Lovely large restaurant with lots of people waiting to get in which we figured was a good sign. Three of us ordered the lunch special and as my other friend was going out for dinner, she ordered soup... More

If you're already in Place Ville-Marie, go to Chinatown instead (Beijing is much better). This place is overpriced and it offers plain food. It is incredibly expensive for what it is. Quite frankly, it is Westernized Chinese food that is presented a little more cleanly than you would typically. But who really cares! It's all about the taste and the... More

It has been a few months since I went but I had been meaning to write about it but do not remember a huge amount about it. HOWEVER I do remember the general tao chicken was simply excellent!!!!

Mr. Ma was recommended by the Concierge at the Fairmont Queen Elizabeth. We were not specifically looking for Chinese food but it was close by and we were told that this was authentic Chinese food and worth a visit. The menu is quite large and offers dishes that sound familiar but the quality and creativity were a pleasant surprise. We... More

But not all things nice as the nursery rhyme might say. The food is not actually bad as in too bad to eat but it is really poor and some dishes rather tasteless. My wife and I opted for a couple of less spicy dishes on our visit in mid September and were served offerings that were loaded with both... More

We always loved this place for years. The dumplings are great and the general tao chicken. The service is always s perfect.

Last time there was for a friend's birthday and we went for lunch. Despite the fact that it was packed, they found us a decent table and were very attentive throughout the meal. Of course, the food was delicious (as always). I highly recommend it!

This place is expensive, service so so and the food really less than ordinary. We had better food at the mall.

This restaurant was once an excellent for fine Chinese dining, but has declined to a point that it is surpassed by the Tiki-Ming in the food court . No joke... Save yourself some money by choosing the latter. The Piment Rouge still remains a top choice for fine Chinese.
