Restaurant not what it used to be. Terrible service, extremely poor size of steaks. Poor waiters. Way overpriced for what you receive with everything charged.

Went there with my wife and 3 girls for an early dinner just before the crowds started to arrive after the Irish dance championships at the convention centre. There were only 2 other tables occupied at the time, so we were greeted and seated immediately. Title says it all - you come here for the steaks but you have no... More

Dreadful experience in this restaurant. Went for a meal with family attending the Worlds Irish Dancing Competition and the noise was horrendous. Had to shout across the table to converse. Spoke to waiters and asked could noise be kept down. Staff become very irate and aggressive and blamed the Irish even though the crowd that were singing were singing in... More

There used to be a GREAT tapas menu here so that if someone wanted a smaller meal it was easy to put one together. Now, there are two portion sizes all ALL of the prices have increased enormously (within the last 6-12 months)! It used to be so much more crowded in there too. Too bad because we went so... More

We were a group of 30+ for a bday celebration. The top floor of the resto was reserved for larger groups. We were well accommodated a week before the celebration night. Menu was simple enough. Something for everybody. Food was of good quality. All you can eat fries. Service was fast and professional. Ambulance was good.

My review will be fast and furious.. What?? No more starter salad..3$ for bread..a bite size piece of meat..oven heated fries..mayo served in paper cups..school cafeteria atmosphere..over heated coffee..one profiterole on a giant plate...and this is a corporate Steak Frite..not a franchise.. Bad..bad...bad..go anywhere else in Montreal.

Absolutely delicious food from start to finish. We first got just a loaf of bread that was warm and crusty, I could not have been happier with it. Then, we had French Onion Soup and poutine. Both were fantastic. I especially loved the soup, though the younger crowd is sure to love the poutine! My father had the tuna which... More

Staying in Vieux-Montreal (Old Montreal)

Neighborhood Profile
Vieux-Montreal (Old Montreal)
The historic center of Montreal, Vieux-Port is home to some of the city's most antiquated buildings and picturesque streets. Along the waters of the St. Lawrence River, the bank of Old Port features museums, festivals, food stalls, and outdoor athletics, a celebrated part of the city that explodes into fireworks displays on warm summer nights. At its center, street performers and artists compete with sprawling restaurant terraces for space along Jacques-Cartier Square, while the cobbled streets of Rue St. Paul and Rue Notre-Dame offer a reprieve of quiet galleries and atmospheric wine bars. Horse-drawn carriages are not an uncommon part of traffic, and the narrows they traverse are lined with boutiques, crêperies, and poutine shops enshrined in buildings of stone and wooden lattices. Here you can evoke Montreal's past with a traditional cooking lesson or historical tour, then enjoy its artistic present with live music and theater.
