Bonaparte continues to deliver the same incredible dining experience every time we visit. You will be delighted and pleased with the food, the service and the best grand marnier soufflés anywhere. Between the duck, lobster, tuna and chicken entrees it was a much contested debate with the duck getting a narrow win. We like this place and make it a... More

The set menu had 6 choices in each course, and everything we ate was lovely. The service is friendly and it was an enjoyable evening.

My wife and I definitely wanted to have a great french meal while in quebec. After reading reviews on tripadvisor of restaurants within walking distance we decided on Bonaparte. We did not have reservations and arrived around 8 with our 3 kids. It was only a 15 minute wait for the table and we were allowed to sit at the... More

Brought my teenage kids for an authentic French dinner and Bonaparte did not disappoint. Very friendly and engaging waiter, tasting menu was wonderful. The goat cheese in puff pastry appetizer was unbelievably good. We'd definitely go again.

The food was quite classic French, well made and fresh ingredients. The foie gras creme brulee was fabulous and something I've never had before. The set menus provided an excellent value for money, the best on my trip. The atmosphere was a bit gentrified and sophisticated for my taste but was very classy.

The food was ok, the prices were too high for the taste and the restaurant itself was cold and staff were quite aloof. We had just had a delicious meal at Pois Penche the night before and this restaurant was supposed to be more "high class" but Le Pois was so much better. The dessert here was good, the menu... More

Really glad we booked at Bonaparte for our weekend away in Montreal. We chose the reasonably-priced tasting menu and enjoyed an excellent array of tasty and well presented dishes. Service was very welcoming and some nice half-bottles allowed us to vary our wines accordingly. Considering the prices compared to other top Montreal restaurants, Bonaparte is a little gem. Highly recommend.

The staff, quality and presentation of the food, and atmosphere make this an excellent choice for that special French dinner. A first class operation

My wife and i celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary at this excellent restaurant. She opted for the fixed price meal and loved all 5 courses...not cheap but excellent and well worth it. I had a starter and main course (rack of lamb) which was served in a terrific sauce. The place is clean, linen tablecloths and napkins, a good wine... More

I ate here twice. Once for dinner and once for breakfast, as I stayed in the attached and affiliated Hotel. The restaurant is clean and neat with white table cloths, multiple images and statues of Napoleon, many window views onto a quiet street of Old Montreal, and a gas fireplace. There was a sophisticated mix of locals and travelers. There is... More
