After a very long day of travel with very little food we were worn out and famished. I'd booked a reservation at Bonaparte without realizing it was only steps away from our lovely hotel, Epik, which was fortuitous as our flight had been delayed. We were warmly welcomed and seated at a lovely two person window table. We both ordered... More

We dined at Bonaparte on Christmas Eve, and it met all our hopes for a wonderul special occasion. A friendly and polished staff of servers and very attractive setting served as background for a delightful meal. We chose the special six course tasting menu, and both felt we had excellent choices for each course. Try the lobster bisque if you... More

A quick breakdown. Appetizers: scallops and shrimp and a salad. Scallop and shrimp were ok, but only one scallop and 2 shrimp for $16.50. Pricey for not being fantastic. The salad was a typical green salad, nothing special-mesculin salad with oil and vinegar dressing. The mains were again just ok. The meats were underseasoned (filet and bison hanger steak needed... We visited this restaurant (2nd time for me) with a large group (10 from work) and once again this restaurant did not disappoint. French dining with a nice menu, This is in the real "french from France" service style. there are multiple smaller room and you can have a nice quiet diner. The wine list is quite extensive and while... More

My husband and I had a fancy date night at this restaurant. We went all out and got the large tasting menu - it was exceptional. Everything from the escargot, pate, steak, right down to the dessert and wine were excellent. The service was also amazing - we asked for nothing. I would highly recommend this restaurant for a special... More

The restaurant offers very good table d'hote with good choices at a reasonable price. I've eaten there many times. I find the food a little under-seasoned but this is easily remedied with a sprinkling of salt.

Maybe for other people it wad good but I spent 125$ for me and my wife and we were not satisfied at all. Linguine.... completely tasteless. My wife had a sea food platter - much better in a neighborhood.... never returned and not having any intention to. I was ecpecting a lot more, especially "Cuisine francaise"....

We were there on November 8, 2014. This was a great conclusion to our weekend. Everything from our evening surpassed our expectations. Me and my spouse both took the "Degustation" menu with the Filet Mignon as the main dish. One word: SUBLIME!!!. Also decently priced considering the quality of what you get. They gave us a window table which added... More

This was an excellent small restaurant associated with a small hotel in Old Town Montreal. The dining room was very attractive with subdued lighting and a fireplace. Our waiter was attentive and very professional. The food was excellent and we would recommend this establishment to other travelers.
