We were touring the old city and parked near this restaurant. We looked at the menu and decided to come back for lunch. After touring the Cathedral, which is absolutely beautiful, and a special exhibition "Treasures of Napoleon" in the basement of the cathedral it was pouring so we walked a couple of blocks back to the restaurant. The food... More

We nearly didn't eat here because we were staying here and like to walk around in the evening but since it was pouring with rain it was a great option. The food was excellent, a good wine list and good service. A little on the pricier side but a nice splurge for a special occasion. I ordered the duck medium... More

Great food. Great service. By far one of the best meals eaten in a while. Lovely restaurant with a great ambiance. Will be looking foreword to returning to Montreal for another visit to Bonaparte.

I have to say we were totally disappointed. We had to wait about 2H to have our main dish!!!. The food is just OK but for the expensive price that you pay it is not worth. The very negative point was their very poor and extremely slow service. We arrived at 20H with a reservation and we finished 2h45 later!!!... More

Food was good, service ok. Not memorable or worth the money. Spend your food dollars elsewhere in my opinion.

When I write my novels, I always include food. Sometimes I look to actual restaurants for inspiration. Bonaparte was truly inspiring. Lovely food, wonderful service and atmosphere.

Great value for a prix fixe, interesting combinations and good location. Have eaten here for dinner on two occasions and have not been disappointed. Breakfasts are excellent as well (especially if they are part of your room rate!)

People were so, so nice here! Mushroom Ravioli and Smoked Salmon appetizers were perfect. Really liked the Riesling they were serving in half bottles. No complaints.

I've been keen on trying this restaurant for some time, the opportunity presented itself when I had business at the cocktail school across the street. The restaurant is located within walking distance of the Centaur Theater and it is one of the few old school establishments that I still hadn't frequented in Montreal. The interior is very attractive with Napoleonic... More
