For those who want to experience French cuisine served in a busy complex of dining rooms, by wait staff who are clearly trained professionals, and who are willing to pay the price for such timeless extravagance, Napoleon is worth the visit. It will take you back in time, and will set your wallet a bit back as well. The restaurant... More

I think this restaurant feels it has already earned the reputation and does not need to work at keeping it. The meal was good, however our beef tenderloins were not not tender and the peppercorn sauce was unflavourful. I expect at these prices that I should be savouring each mouthful and I was not. My wife is gluten free, which... More

The food was wonderful! We had breakfast and dinner here. I had a delicious filet mignon. I loved it! The staff is some of the best I encountered in all of Quebec!

I highly recommend Bonaparte for an excellent French dinner in Old Montreal. Although the entire table need not order the tasting menu & they will work on the timing with you, we opted to share a la carte dishes. Everything was excellent to outstanding. The bread, the escargot, the mushroom ravioli (don't miss them, a house specialty for good reason!),... More

Our first night in Montreal we walked out of our hotel at le Place D'armes and walked around the corner to this lovely restaurant - at first they asked if we had reservations we said no. Yet we ended up in the nicest table in the place, right in front of nice window facing the little streets of Old Montreal,... More

I had the 6 course Napolean dinner and was not disappointed. The foie gras was excellent but the real highlight for me was the trout with champagne sauce. Exquisite. The wait between courses was a little long but not terrible and it was a Saturday night during the peak dinner time. The dessert was also great. Our waiter was outstanding... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience. The "Napolean's dinner" tasting menu was wonderful, and the wine pairings were perfect. The wait staff, while quite busy, was attentive.

The food, the server, the atmosphere---everything involved with this restaurant was top notch. In addition, it was within walking distance of our hotel. One of our top three restaurants in Montreal.

We enjoyed the food, ambiance and quality of this gorgeous restaurant at lunch time, so much so that we booked to go back for our last evening meal in Montreal. We were staggered by the extreme contrast. I would suggest going when it is quiet so that the staff and chef have the time and energy to give you the... More

I do not frequently go to a classic French restaurant but I will readily and easily recommend this establishment to anyone searching for great old fashioned French cuisine as well as impeccable service. Christoph, the Maitre D and Maxim, one of our waiters were so attentive and made the evening so pleasant that we would have gone back the next... More
