Agree completely with the other recent reviewers. Impeccable service and elegant food and wine at a reasonable price for this quality of ingredients. I had seared foie gras on gingerbread toast paired with a foie gras creme brulee followed by veal Marengo, a variation I take it on the chicken recipe that Napoleon`s chef prepared for him after Naploeon had... Visited this resto on a business trip with co-workers. Fixed menu that was perfect. Amazing filet and fresh salad. Loved the service and the ambiance of the private room.

Located in an intimate setting in an historic hotel in the Old Town Bonaparte is just what we hoped it would be. Walking distance from our hotel, very French but innovative menu, impeccable yet friendly service & comfortable seating. The wine offering was small but well chosen. Our Rose Champagne was a perfect choice to celebrate our first night in Montreal.... More

For a classic French Menu with impeccable service, this is one of the finest restaurants in Montreal. The owner Christophe is friendly, engaging and will make you feel welcome immediately. The staff is wonderful and both nights we dined Bonaparte, we were served by Jason, who became our new best friend in Montreal. I don't write a lot of restaurant... More

Since we were staying at the Bonaparte hotel and were having breakfast each morning in their lovely dining room, we were hesitant to eat dinner there as well. But, after sampling the prices at neighboring restaurants, most of which were quite expensive [and we're used to New York City prices], the 3 course Prix fix dinner at Bonaparte seemed too... More

We had a lackluster experience at Toque the night before, and as it is supposed to be one of the best, we were a bit dismayed at Montreal dining. We eat all over the world, mainly New York and Boston, and have had some amazing meals. Bonaparte is now one of our top 10! The food was delicious and the... More

We enjoyed hot coffee, omelets, warm croissants and fruit as part of our stay at the Bonaparte Hotel. Gratuity is not included in this, however, it's a great way to start the day and you can't be the walk-in price of $15. Service is friendly and quick. Setting is intimate and relaxed. Would visit again and tell others! Enjoy!

For those who want to experience French cuisine served in a busy complex of dining rooms, by wait staff who are clearly trained professionals, and who are willing to pay the price for such timeless extravagance, Napoleon is worth the visit. It will take you back in time, and will set your wallet a bit back as well. The restaurant... More

I think this restaurant feels it has already earned the reputation and does not need to work at keeping it. The meal was good, however our beef tenderloins were not not tender and the peppercorn sauce was unflavourful. I expect at these prices that I should be savouring each mouthful and I was not. My wife is gluten free, which... More

The food was wonderful! We had breakfast and dinner here. I had a delicious filet mignon. I loved it! The staff is some of the best I encountered in all of Quebec!
