best coffee and sandwiches in the city!

By far, the best italian coffee in the city. Their subs are great also. All in in nice and relaxed atmosphere.

Milano's is best experienced with friends on their terrace. They have quite a large terrace but it could be challenging getting a place at times. The inside is ok too but I would only want to be there when the weather outside is not cooperating. The food is very good. I mostly order their subs and salads and I'm never... More

When you want to enjoy your espresso , cafe latte, or cappuccino you go to Cafe Milano. If you want a nice drink cold beer or sangria while enjoying a great sandwich, your choice of vegetarian chicken sausage veal...the best in town...or you may decide to have one of their great salads...bocconcini, chicken, tuna ....in any of these great delicious... Time and time again, great coffee, sandwiches are amazing, salads are great (I pick one up weekly) and the atmosphere and boisterous which is exactly what Italians are all about :) Love this place !

Cafe Milano is a fixture in this part of Montreal. It is the best place you can go for a quality salad or sandwich, and just enjoy a coffee or latte. Don't expect a tattooed hypster behind the espresso machine. It is classic Italian, the original and the most comfortable (especially for the locals). For under $20.00, I don' think... More

It depends on what you are looking for in terms of food, in this upscale sandwich and salad place. Some of the sandwiches were good and others we had were slightly greasy. The salad I also ordered with the sandwich was not that special for $12, not much chicken and too much oil in it. This is a cash only... More

I went several time to this restaurant. The perfect dish: Sandwich steak-capicollo all dressed, cafe Latte and cannoli for dessert. It is the best cannoli that I tasted in Montreal...so far! Service is fast.

Staying in Saint-Leonard

Neighborhood Profile
Saint-Leonard
Another focal point of Montreal's Italian community, Saint-Léonard appeals to families and the young at heart, with caverns to explore, museums to take in, and games to play. This is typified by the borough's Leonardo Da Vinci Centre, where visitors are just as likely to view an opera in its plush auditorium as they are to jump onto the lawn for a round of bocce ball. Burn off pasta calories with a stroll through Galerie Port-Maurice, a swim in the massive indoor pool of Complexe Aquatique, or on the steep ramps at Giuseppe-Garibalidi skate park. Perhaps the most curious and magical feature of the district can be viewed by boat on the waters of the underground lake in Saint-Leonard Cavern. A dazzling natural wonder, the sun dapples through the subterranean setting, lighting the bulbous formations of stalagmites and stalactites, and setting the water ablaze with color. Truly a place for an out-of-the-ordinary adventure.
