I highly reccomend trying this restaurant while visiting Montreal. The service is great. Everyone who works there is super friendly and highly attentive to all of your needs. For an appetizer I had the calamari. It was really good. I had the duck confit for dinner and it was delicious.

food was good, beer was good and the place had a nice feel to it. I sat in the bar area and that was a little tight, but it all worked.

Location on the edge of Old Montreal. The restaurant is fairly large with a big bar. The staff was prompt and efficient. The wine list is large with plenty of options by the glass. The food choices were many, with entrees priced reasonably for area. The food itself was good with a nice size portions for both appetizer and entrees. Good... More

While staying at Le Petite Hotel we asked for a recommendation for dinner at a French bistro. The hotel recommended Restaurant Holder. From the moment we walked in the door we knew this was going to be a great dinner. The delicious smells of boeuf Bourguinonne greeted and welcomed us. Service was almost too fast by an excellently trained staff.... More

My husband and I had dinner here on a Wednesday in July, everything was excellent. The place was filled and bustling in a nice way, our server was attentive and helpful with menu choices. We had the endive and watercress salad, the salmon and beef tartars as appetizers and then the beef cheeks and mussels. Everything was very good, I'm... More

Perfectly located in Old Montreal, almost at the corner of Saint Paul street. I recommend the Salmon tartare with yogurt and Mujjol caviar as an appetizer. One of the best tartare I ate in a restaurant. Lobster ravioli, truffle oil beurre blanc is delicious. A nice varied menu so anyone should find something they like. Service is flawless and the... This restaurant reminds me of the big cafes at Grand Boulevards in Paris. It has amazing ambiance - modern restaurant with old times charm. Service is impeccable. Menu is extensive and you sure will find something for you. Food is of great quality and prices are surprisingly affordable. Great place, we will definitely be back and will recommend our friends!

Such a nice atmosphere, made us think of a brasserie in Paris. Wonderful and professional service, excellent food and wine, cannot wait to return. We loved everything and the portions were large: foie gras en torchon, chicken liver mousse for entrees, mains were each a confit de canard served with really good potatoes, ending with a chocolate cream dessert for...
