Great for breakfast AND dinner

Fantastic. We stayed in the hotel and ate one dinner and three breakfasts here. Food was outstanding as was the service. Enough energy to make it fun but not too loud and tables were a nice distance apart to have a nice conversation

Good breakfast of local Montreal bagel and atlantic lox. Drinks are good. In the summer they show movies on an outdoor screen - this was a nice surprise

Since we are staying here & attending a meeting, it seemed logical & expedient to break for lunch here; it was very pleasant lunch on the patio. Wait staff were attentive & accommodating too. The gazpacho was creamy, smooth & superb-among the very best I have even enjoyed. My entree was the appetizer portion of salmon tartare; again a generous... More

The $60 Prix Fixe Menu for dinner at Renoir is exceptional. The atmosphere is open and crisp and these characteristics are reflected in their food. Even though this restaurant is attached to a hotel, it is not your typical hotel restaurant and it clearly stands on its own and bears no resemblance of mediocre hotel restaurants. The service was outstanding... More

Wonderful to be offered gluten free bread with dinner. Amuse bouche was served on a gf square. The food was not especially exciting but well prepared. For very little more one could have eaten at Buloud, across the street & been wowed...

We went to Renoir for the brunch, and were blown away. The selection and quality were outstanding. Excellent eggs, and a terrific selection of breakfast hors d'oeuvres including salmon pate, thin medium rare beef, and a wonderful crispy asparagus salad with duck. The pastry selection is to die for ( which you may if you can't control yourself), with eclairs,... More

We organised our wedding lunch at Renoir, for about a dozen guests. We found the whole experience to be bordering on perfection, from the planning phase through to the follow-up, and would definitely recommend this venue for any kind of special event. Planning: - Clear, friendly communication with everyone we dealt with: these people know their business - Great menu... More

The food and atmosphere was awesome. Disappointed because of the mean service. I would rather prefer waitress and waiters will not interfere with our tables.

I had difficulty selecting a restaurant for after the University graduation of my daughter. Many restaurants in Montreal are closed on Mondays or only open at dinner time. Trying to find something that would appeal to my daughter who is a bit of a foodie and the two grandmothers who are a bit traditional. We wanted something a little 'special'... More

Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighborhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
