I was in Montreal for the Chihuly show at the Museum of Fine Arts this past weekend and friends wanted to return to Red Thai having eaten there a couple years ago. We were very disappointed to find the restaurant closed. From the look of the place it may have been closed for a while.

Order the Red Thai, go ahead, do it! Snazzy, charming, spectacular, get on the red train and pull on that cord that signals you're ready for more!

My husband and I ate there on Thursday night, and LOVED the food...the Tom Yum soup is very very flavorful..not watered down like you can get in many other places. We always go THai when we travel, and have always been impressed with this great little place. Cozy and inviting-we will definitely return. Our service was truly awesome, and I... More

Service seemed fast for a walk-in reservation. Seemed short-staffed which left little opportunity for host and servers to add any effort to their interactions with customers. Pad thai was not as hot and fresh as expected. Tasted re-heated. Interesting atmosphere. Charming but tacky. Not worth the uphill hike.

This is our second visit and this time the food was better than the last time and the Pad Thai was spicy when ordered spicy. The service was attentive and maybe a little to quick, it felt like they wanted us out of the restaurant. The prices are still astronomical and it doesn't show in the quality of the food.... More

So I was given a voucher, you know the groupon deal kind of things, from a family member so I thought why not go try it. Having worked as a chef for years I tend not to eat out at places on the main because the price/quality ration is always skewed in my mind. So the food tasted fine, but... More

The restaurant presents well from the street with a lovely atmosphere. Greeted at the door and quickly given a place to sit. There were only two tables sitting the whole time we were there and the reason is simple, at $18 for a half bottle of house wine, $7 a cocktail, $7.50 for a beer and $3.50 for a glass... More

Our trip to the restaurant started with making reservations. I was asked if I was using a coupon for the meal and when I replied yes was told very curtly that my reservation would be held only for five minutes beyond the reserved time! We got to the restaurant on time and except for one other customer the whole restaurant... More

Came for dinner. Seated promptly in very nice booth. Loved the decor. Reminded me of a New York CIty restaurant that would cost three times as much. Prices were slightly above area restaurants, but still reasonable. Menu had great variety for reluctant eaters. We had satehs (meat skewers), soups, and a chicken and peanut sauce dish. The food was quite... More

My girlfriend and I went to eat here on a Thursday evening. The restaurant had only a few tables with customers at them. Waiters walked back and forth serving other tables and we waited between 10-15 minutes before any of the staff even offered to fill our glasses with water and take our order. We asked to order an appetizer... More
