There's a reason Forbes Magazine named us one of the Top 10 Steakhouses in the world. And why Moishes has become a Montreal favorite that has endured over 70 years. We think it's the authentic taste of each one of the old world favorites on our menu.

If you're an old friend, welcome back. We're always delighted to see you. We couldn't have come this far without you. If you haven't yet, we warmly invite you to discover the taste for yourself, at our restaurant overlooking historic Saint-Laurent Boulevard (The Main.)

Moishe's will always be is a Montrealer's to do list.

We have a nice evening Jan. 29th. Good company, good quality beef, simple plates and starters. True old school. But is that enough to have you go back. Been there done that comes to mind. I am not saying don't go but go with the above in mind

Plain and simple this is the best restaurant in Montreal. It's very rare to have a menu where every item is sensational. My recommendation is to order as many dishes as possible to share so you can experience the true quality of as many dishes as possible. David the Manager is exceptional and treats every guest like royalty. He adds... More

I went to Moishe's on the 30 of January 2016 and I ordered the 45 day aged 18 Oz. Rib steak, it was hard like rubber it smelled and had the worst taste ever. Never going back there again. The Keg is 1000% better. Oh by the way Moishe's is way over priced for that garbage food and when you... More

Nice atmosphere, has a loyal following. After 9 the place is packed. The caesar salad was almost inedible in my opinion. The pickles and coleslaw were amazing (worth coming just for that. Salmon tartare was very good. Steaks were just ok and not cooked as requested. I feel like other cities have upscale steakhouses with higher quality steaks. That being... More

Very overpriced for nothing more than a mediocre steak! We had good service; but that was about it! I would not recommend this restaurant at all. We were quite disappointed

There are great steak houses in almost every city but Moishe's is an experience beyond the norm. They have a great menu with wonderful starters and sides. The servers and staff were professional and personable. I was with a friend who had been there almost 50 years ago and despite the recent renovation, I believe it still has the original... More

a long standing tradition in Montreal - make sure you stop in for dinner. Can't miss with choices of steak combined with the top notch service and hospitality. A vibrant and fun atmosphere to accompany an awesome meal.

My partners father treated us to the most wonderful meal in Moishe's. The wine list was excellent and we enjoyed Duckhorn and many cocktails. The Surf & Turf blew me away and I'm very picky when it comes to both steak and seafood. I work in one of the worlds best hotels and I must say the service was impeccable.... More

Made a return visit to Moishes given that they now have a newly added (supplemental) menu : Dry Aged Beef The menu focused mainly on minimum 45 days dry aged beef from two sources: - USDA Prime Beef - Local Quebec AAA I opted for the USDA... however, I really desired the Rib Steak or Rib Eye but was informed... Have been a customer for 60 years. Always been special. Last two visits very disappointing. Service is too rushed, not enough time to digest before next course. Pickles still good but slaw was weak. Salmon tartar was the best part of meal if you do not count the black licorice on the way out. Do not skip the candy tray... More

Staying in Le Plateau Mont-Royal

Neighborhood Profile
Le Plateau Mont-Royal
Go native in Plateau Mont-Royal, where bespoke shopping, hip eateries, and wacky paint jobs attract locals and transplants alike, making it one of the city's most diverse and distinctly authentic experiences. A creative hub, Montreal's artistic elite pack the cafes along Rue Saint-Denis, where young painters and fashion designers draw inspiration from the playful murals and stately Victorian homes that dot the Plateau's side streets. Not a major sightseeing destination, a visit to Plateau Mont-Royal allows you to enjoy a local perspective, soaking in indie films, latte art, contemporary galleries, and the city's best bagels. A center of polyglot culture, Québécois accents mingle with shades of Portuguese, Greek, and Hebrew in the area's iconic Mile End district, where restaurants straddle chic designer boutiques, serving up chorizo and caldo verde. Friendliest to those on foot, it's a jungle of colorful awnings and sidewalk umbrellas, pedestrian walks and luxury shopping.
