Our concierge recommended this place. It is in a great area right in center of Old Montreal. They have jazz music almost every night. Service was excellent. We did the fixed menu which included bruschetta, canard magret and tiramisu. Bruschetta was probably the best I've very had with fresh tomatoes, just the right amount of red onions and lots of... Located steps away from our hotel Nelligan, this restaurant had a small jazz group each nights the downstairs main room. We sat at the bar and listened to the trio while enjoying our fine dining. My husband had the well priced three course price fixe for $38 while I had a yen for lamb chops a la carte which were... More

We are world travelers and lived in Paris. This bistro is as good as the neighborhood places we knew and loved there. The food was outstanding, the service "genial" and the activity was brisk (but, orderly). Highest ratings all around. Eat there. You should come away with the same reaction.

This funky jazz bar was able to accommodate 12 people without a reservation or a wait, so that in itself was amazing. The food was incredible ($$$) but the beer menu was lacking -- the wine and cocktails were good, but I was focused more on finding local beers to try, so that was disappointing.

We booked reservations through Open Table for Saturday evening and even though a table was ready for us within minutes, we requested a window seat and were immediately accommodated. Drinks and appetizers (rolls were warm and yummy!) were served without delay - our server was cheerful and helpful answering all questions of dietary concern. We woud have enjoyed it if... More

Our concierge recommended Modavie, and we are very glad that he did so. It is located in the pretty old town part of Montreal, so that ambience was very nice. I had the lamb pasta and my husband had scallops, and both dishes were excellent. I would definitely recommend this place if you visit Montreal.

We went to Modavie because of the many positive TripAdvisor reviews and were not disappointed. We met the famous Lorenzo, who treated us as if we were long time repeat customers and not first time diners. Our server Stephanie was a delight. She took her time explain the menu and made recommendations on both what to eat and what to... More

Lorenzo and his staff really care about their customers; that is obvious from the moment we walked in this Monday evening. Jazz with English lyrics filled the room and our waitress Rachel was really great. My soup was hot and spicy and my wife's salad was plentiful but she wanted more beets and less feta cheese. My steak was better... More

Modavie is THE place to go. we booked online and we were received in a very friendly manner and seat near the Jazz pianist and singer as per our request. We were dining with our two young children and despite their being no dedicated kids menu - our waitress advise numerous ways we could modify their menu to suit them.... More

Modavie isn't just a good dinner. It is an entire experience. The food, wine, music, ambiance, and service all add up to a memorable evening in Montreal. Modavie has an outdoor terrace on one of the most bustling spots in the city, a downstairs room near the bar, and a lovely room upstairs. We sat upstairs, where the giant windows... More
