Warning! Great burgers sold here

I loved the Guinness Deluxe Burger. Probably the best burger I've ever had. Service was very good, and we really loved the atmosphere of the place. It is possible to watch hockey games here (I doubt there are places in Montreal where you cannot), but you have to be there on time as there are tables... read more

We stopped in tonight for a couple drinks and some of the guinness wings as per a recommendation. The wings were delicious some of the best I've had in Montreal. Great beer on tap. Reasonable prices. The bartenders that served us were awesome, the atmosphere was great. This is a great spot for a date or to go for a... More

This bar has three levels going on the weekends : a lower level for a more quiet atmosphere, an upper level for live music, and a third level playing music with a DJ. Great atmosphere on all levels and great selection of beers. The band I heard last month on the second floor was probably one of the best live... More

Popped into the pub for a couple of pints and some food. Both were great. Highly entertaining watching both the locals and the bar staff interact. Was made to feel very welcome by both and felt like I had been going in there for years. Loved the three old men at the bar, Comedy Central, couldn't stop laughing. Let the... More

Out of the 3 McKibbins that I've been at (Vaudreuil, Pointe-Claire and Monteal) this is the better looking one with a terrasse is very nice. We didn't eat there but only stopped for drinks on the terrasse

You would think that the same franchise should try to keep things relatively the same.. Think again. I had the curry poutine and it was SO salty I couldn't even finish it. At other locations though it is amazing! Our waitress Stephanie C was very rude and unattentive, if you don't feel like working you probably should have just stayed... More

I stay downtown when I am in Montreal, and McKibbins is nearby, so I thought I would check it out. The bison burger was really good, the beer selection was similarly good. By my estimation, it was quiet in there, and the service was kind of slow.

Ok I had just finished walking St. Catherine. So I was hungry after a long day sightseeing. I was in the mood for some fish n chips. So I recalled, that St. Laurent, had several restaurants. So took the bus up north and this was the first Irish Pub the I passed. Got off at the next stop and walked... More

This is a nice place to crack a beer. A little expensive though, and they don't have many options of craft beers (the menu seems to be aleays outdated). But it's nice to meet friends.

Lunch here is a good option, the decor is authentic and full of paintings, jerseys and photos. Food is more Canadian influenced but with lots of Irish options such as Guinness nachos. Decent prices and great service

Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighborhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
