Great pub

Great pub food, good beer selection, good service. Visited twice in the same week because we liked the place so much.

Lunch here is a good option, the decor is authentic and full of paintings, jerseys and photos. Food is more Canadian influenced but with lots of Irish options such as Guinness nachos. Decent prices and great service

A GOOD PURGATIVE I and some friends had lunch at Bishop's McKibbin's on Nov.11, 2014 when the soup was Roast Pork and Coconut Thai Curry. One friend had a half-dozen spoonfuls and then accepted the waitress's offer to replace it. He did not complain, the waitress had returned to ask how was the soup and he reported that it was... Was recommended to us by a friend - went there on a rainy afternoon, and as soon as we were seated, a waitress came over with towels to help us dry off (we looked like drowned rats!) Food was very good (had the House Burger and Chicken and Leek Pie), nice beer selection too.

I love this place, fun & welcoming are complete under statements. Whenever I'm in the city, be it for work or pleasure I can't NOT go here. The food & atmosphere leave you feeling warm inside, while the drink menu in particular the variety of beers (my favourite!), should leave other bars in the city green with envy. I myself... More

Friendly staff, fast service, tasty food, and great variety of beers. Check out their fish and chips, one of the best in town, if not the best.

Avoid this place if you care about yourself, it is unsafe there. I went there to watch a world cup soccer match on their balcony. After sitting there for 10 minutes, the TV speaker suddenly fell off and hit my head. The speaker weigh 4-5 kilograms, so it really hurt, it was very serious. We called them to our table.... More

This was my first time visiting Montreal and I went to McKibbin's twice. We went on Tues, Jun 3 and it was busy but the service was really good. The doormen and bartenders were friendly and outgoing. I was fortunate enough to meet Sean O' Connell, the GM, and he took care of me and my friends better than I... More

I really enjoyed my two visits here while visiting Montreal in April. Both times I was met with friendly staff, hot food, and cold beers. I did not have the chance to venture upstairs (has more of a club atmosphere). Try the fries!

Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighborhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
