The service in this restaurant was very good. The food was fresh and very good. I tired their full course menu "Dîner Sushi & Sashimi" and it was very very good. The presentation of the food is also quite good.

For starters and unlike most fine dining restaurants in Montreal, they accommodated us at 10:15 PM. The sushi tasted great but the true treat was in the platters' presentation. Service was satisfactory and the overall ambiance just right!

Amazing sushi selection, beautifully executed, clean plating designs, lovely atmosphere, gorgeous interior decor. Nice view of exotic fish in aquariums by the wall. Really nice spot for a romantic dinner. Favourite dishes there would have to be the gyoza, spicy tuna and lobster roll. For dessert flambéed bananas and ice cream. The service was very fast and the staff were... More

Walking through Mount Plateau Mile End Neighborhood looking for Bernard Street, which had been highly recommended by a very helpful bartender on 37th Club floor of the Sheraton, we came upon the unexpected sushi restaurant. My "dogs were a barking" and this restaurant looked the perfect resting point for a lovely glass of wine. As we perused the menu, while... More

I come here for dinner whenever I visit Montreal, and I am never disappointed. Food was great. Went with a friend who is vegan, and they were happy with their meal too.

Great selection of sushi. Some very interesting lobster rolls. All the rolls were heavy on rice and sparse on fish. Point this out when you go and you may get lucky. Pinot Gris was terrible. Wait staff is not the best. All in all and average experience. Ambiance is pleasant and terrace is nice on a hot summer eve.

I'll start by saying that I don't eat fish. Surprise, surprise... now I eat sushi. Maiko's sushi is great for anyone who is a skeptic of eating raw fish...or fish at all for that matter. I was able to eat and really enjoy this type of food here. The way that the food is brought out to you is beautiful... More

Maiko Sushi on Bernard used to be one of the best sushi restaurants in Montreal. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly and the menu was fabulous. Sadly, this is no longer true. It started with the hiring of inexperienced very young staff who although may be well intentioned, are not good waiters. Gone are the white tablecloths and candles, replaced... More

Beautiful plates! Lovely flavours! Good variety! And the chef was able to accommodate a special request: ie tuna tartare without onions or shallots! Go to Maiki and enjoy! XOXO
