Best sushi in town

A bit expensive but you get the wow factor you paid for. It start with an outstanding presentation and then, the most important part, taste! You can go get a table or sit at the sushi bar, either way you will not be disappointed

Maiko is a great Sushi Restaurant to eat-in or take out. They are open 7 days a week and always serve fresh, proper sized sushi & maki. Price is right for the quality you are getting.

Went there for a Saturday night dinner date. Our waiter was really nice and helpful. Waiters here are present when you need them, like to fill our wine glasses, but they akso know when to give you space. They have a wide selection of plates but our minds were set on traditional sushi so that's what we ordered, along with... More

As usual, you can't go wrong by choosing this venue. Good food and service. The only downside is the parking. Because of the area parking is limited.

The sushi is simply amazing ! The uni the salmon just melt in your mouth. The crab salad and the sushi have has so many great selection. The food is top notch ! Unfortunately the service is lacking where the waiters have arrogant attitude. They didn't bring our salad with the rest of our friends. We had to ask for... More

My boyfriend and I are big sushi fans and we did try a lot of different places. Maiko is definitely one of our favorite and we keep coming back. There is a LOT of choices on the menu and I strongly recommend you go with the Specialty menu. My personal favorite is the Délice Maiko with the truffle oil sauce.... More

This is one of the best sushi places I have visited. Particular care is paid to presentation, and the sushi is served cold, like it's supposed to.

Sushi choice is extensive. Found the rolls a touch dry and easily break when picked up. Lobster was not as tasty as expected. Terrace is comfortable and covered. Service is knowledgeable.

After waiting for a table we decided to go option. Sushi and other dishes were very good. Could not verify the service quality but I need to assume it must be positive due the amount of people eating there.

Good sushi restaurant! Delicious pieces and good wine list. The ambiance is nice. They also do take-out. Enjoy Maiko's sushis!

Staying in Outremont

Neighborhood Profile
Outremont
Outremont, a quaint residential district just north of Downtown, is a peaceful, low-key setting known for its mod cafes and bistros, and some of the best walking territory Montreal has to offer. Visitors can explore the flowering parks and manor estates of Maplewood Street, then window-shop the popular bakeries and coffeehouses on main arteries of Chemin de la Côte-Sainte-Catherine and Rue Van Horne. The modern granola feel is complemented by contemporary art exhibitions, rotating theater productions, and a welcoming public library. Also a nexus for the city's Hasidic Jewish culture, Outremont's diversity resounds in its cuisine and in its architecture. Visit the colorful neighborhood to take advantage of boutique shopping on Avenue Laurier, or to test the artisanal flavors of Avenue Bernard, braving a salmon burger on a squid-ink bun or accommodating your sweet tooth with a provincial chômeur pudding. A visit to Outremont is a relaxing day.
