Very good but...

Lucca at 1 time was in that elite category of a restaurant that was consistently at the top of its game. Was there a few weeks ago and was just not blown away at lunch. The food was good but on that street there are plenty of options. I just found that it did not have that same passion and... read more

Came to this restaurant without a lunch reservation, however must of got lucky because only 2 tables available! We started with a nice white bottle of wine. They have a good wine list. The waitor was very nice and knowledgeable about his menu. They served a bruschetta as a house appetizer. It was very fresh. I had an nice green... More

We visit Lucca every so often and especially when we want to be sure the meal will be memorable. Imaginative chef, laid back and attentive staff and always new and fresh ideas on the board served with flair. Don't like the board (you'd have to be very fussy), ask and they will be happy to make whatever pleases you. One... More

The ambiance, the food, the service, the wines and the love. This place cannot be beaten. The best Italian restaurant in little Italy. The flavours are unreal. The food is outrageous. The quality is outstanding. And for the people who can say something bad about this restaurant shouldn't eat out nor judge a place due to a lack of tranquility... More

Honestly this is a restaurant that serves very good quality food ,well prepared and generous portions. On the evening we were there there was a large group of about 15 people having a birthday party. At the table next to them was another birthday party also quite loud.We were 4 people and had a hard time maintaining a conversation.Service is acceptable but... Have been to Lucca's many times but was there recently with a family group of 18. Gabriel was our waiter, who is not a regular waiter there, but he did a great job with a large demanding group. I had pre ordered the wine with Anthony and all was done properly. A;; the meals were served hot and and at... More

I have been to Lucca before and this time I have found that it lacks a lot of luster it used to have. From the waiter pointing to our table to his uninterested look, it made it a very unpleasant experience. It took almost two hours before we got our main dish without any excuses or apologies. Overcooked risotto, no... More

First time at Lucca's and it won't be the last. This restaurant is amongst the best in Little Italy. The food was delicious and the staff was friendly. I recommend you give it a try.

We are regular customers that live a hour and half away. The food is just excellent. How do they pack so much flavor into everything? This is not a typical Italian restaurant with a heavy red sauce, just so much more. This is a place where most people are regulars and already have a idea about what the menu maybe... More

We had a lovely meal there last night and were especially happy to find a restaurant in Little Italy, Montreal even open! Service was professional and friendly. Salad was divinely fresh and seasoned. Our main course (we each had spaghetti) was not your standard spaghetti but, again, very tastefully prepared. And the freshly grated cheese added the final touch! We... More

Staying in Rosemont-La Petite-Patrie

Neighborhood Profile
Rosemont-La Petite-Patrie
Rosemont-La Petite-Patrie has one of Canada's most prominent Italian communities, with Little Italy concentrated along the convivial bends of Saint-Lawrence Boulevard. Known for its fantastic bars and authentic Italian fare, the domain includes the Jean-Talon Market, the largest public market in North America. Open year-round, sunny months see fruit and vegetable stalls set up outside the main chalet, while blustery weather draws crowds indoors to meat and cheese sellers, spices and truffles stalls, and for regional delicacies such as rare Charlevoix lamb. While the market dictates what's fresh for local restaurateurs, visitors can please more than their palates, taking in the Renaissance architecture and frescos of Madonna della Difesa, the picturesque Rue Saint-Rominique with its cheerful homes and splendid gardens, or the ornamented thoroughfare of Plaza Saint-Hubert.
