Great choice for downtown

I usually trek up to Jean Talon for Indian cause it's cheaper. Taj does have an affordable lunch buffet and is much more upscale than the rest of choices agenda than except for atma.

We had the pleasure of eating again at Le Taj a few weeks ago before a concert event, They are a few blocks from the Bell Centre and in a straight line on Stanley so easy to find. We shared 2 different chicken mains and added a pulao rice. No starters. I have a Gluten intolerance and love their tandoori... More

The title says all. I am not Indian but I love Indian food. Went to this restaurant with a friend for dinner. Despite the good service and ambiance, we did not really enjoy the meal there. It lacks the Indian kick. Overall, the restaurant is clean, convenient location, reasonable price. As for the food, it is a personal taste, so... More

On a cold night in February the restaurant is almost deserted. The staff are alternately scurrying about or talking amongst themselves. The moist tandoori chicken practically melts off the bone but the chutneys only arrive 20 min later. One of many servers offered to take my plate with 1/3 chicken yet to be eaten. Less than good service can spoil... More

Went on my own after looking at various Indian food options. Very pleased with the Feast I ordered. Best naan I have ever had and tandoori chicken was excellent. Nice ambiance and great service.

Last night my wife and I ventured to Le Taj for a romantic evening, Things could not have gone any smoother. The service was impeccable, the food was sublime. My wife and I will surely return soon. We don't eat out often, even less do we partake in Indian cuisine, but the service staff was quite helpful and suggested some... More

We visit Le Taj frequently from Vermont. The waiter that serves us has been there for 20 years:) He makes the place come alive with helpful hints and recommendations. We make it for dinner every time we are in town.... Definitely one place you don't want to miss.

My girlfriend and I have been to the Taj dozens of times in the past years but I have never taken time to write a review. We went last night for Valentine's day and it was one of the most amazing experience I've ever had in a restaurant, ever. We know for sure that the food will be outstanding and... More

Been coming to the Taj for years and am never disappointed. Beautiful restaurant, the food is exceptional high end indian. The wine selection is terrific and includes some very interesting & unique Indian wines one normally would not have the opportunity to try elsewhere. On my recent visit we ordered all dishes cooked in the tandoor oven and it was... More

We had dinner at the Taj last night and happened upon the valentines special! This elegant candle-lit restaurant is a far cry from your local indian take out. Both its exceptional food and service make this place somewhere to treat yourself to on a special occasion whilst also calling you to return time and time again. Classic, elegant and refined,...
