The concierge recommended this wonderful restaurant to us - and we are thankful. It was delicious. We each got the several course meal @$40/pp. We knew it would be way too much food - and it was - but, they packed it up for us and we get to enjoy the rest! We had soup, appetizers, 2 main dishes (each),... More

If you get the $40 meal it is more than enough a 5 course meal! Some of the best Indian food I have had. The staff is attentive and sweet. I look forward to sending all who visit Montreal there no problem. Easy to make reservations online too. Thank you.

Visited this place twice when I was on holiday in Montreal - really loved it! it's tucked away on a side street but well worth a visit - the food is really lovely, the atmosphere is even nicer, and the service is top class! You can watch through a window as your naan is being made and cooked which is... More

What wonders await new guests to Le Taj restaurant in Montreal. Nestled on Stanley St., between Maisonneuve and Sherbrooke St., Le Taj offers a celebration of Indian culture and an elevation of Indian cuisine. Having dined there with my husband on August 30th, the memory is still fresh in my mind. The dinner menu offers a complete range of popular... More

I know almost nothing of Indian food. Never before did I have a chance to try it. I was curious and thought a buffet would be a good start. I loved almost everything on the menu. It was full of flavour yet not too spicy. I guess they adapt it to the western palate. My favourite thing was curry meatballs... More

Great atmosphere and location however the meal itself was average. We were seen by our waiter to take our order and that was the last we say of him. There was a table of about 12 seated in our area which took up most of our waiter's attention. My husband ordered lamb and I ordered beef and both of our... More

Happened to be at this hotel as i was searching for Indian restaurant which is close to the Hilton Garden Inn. As i am vegetarian had Vegetarian food and as i am from South India asked for spicy food i ended up eating food with lot of Chillies and not "real" spicy in that sense. Tandoori Roti and nan were... We visited this restaurant during our last holiday in Montreal, after 13 long years outside Canada. It is the one we left, even better since it has been renewed. It is clean and the tables are well prepared. The buffet is very good and a la carte is excellent. It is not easy to find an Indian restaurant offering such... More

Wandering around after 9 pm close to our hotel looking for a place to eat we came upon Le Taj and saw people dining inside. We decided to try the cuisine as our 85 year old mom was with us and was tired. We were warmly greeted and although close to their closing time we were not made to feel... More
