Really good restaurant

I was there for my birthday with my family. It was the second time that I ate at this restaurant. I've preferred the second time. It's a good restaurant with good French food. The service is good too.

Four of enjoyed eight dishes at this cosy little French restaurant. We savoured Pieuvre Grillee (grilled octopus), three 'Poisson' Du Jour (actually scallops), Dattes (dates),Calmars (calamari), Homard (lobster), and Chanterelle (Chanterelle mushrooms). Portions were small, beautifully presented, and truly delicious. The sauces were pure bliss. We washed all these exquisite serves down with a wonderful Spanish tempranillo / grenache, a... More

We started coming here in 2007 on our annual Montreal trip, and haven't stopped since. Service is exceptional, food is equally comforting and inventive. Extensive selection of quality organic wines that will enliven your senses. Menu has evolved through the years, and this year was no exception with an emphasis on creative small plates each one consistently arriving at our... More

We chanced across this restaurant on our recent visit. They weren't open yet but gave us a reservation for opening time (5:30) as long as we were done by 8pm. They have a great wine list and the staff are very knowledgeable about the food and wine. At no time did we feel pressured to leave and in fact we... More

I went to this restaurant with and old friend. The atmosphere was great to catch up. The waiters were very friendly. I had the beet and feta appetizer and the chocolate and truffle risotto. Both were great. Good portions for a French restaurant. Despite being a little pricey (60$ per person with a glass of wine), I would go back.

We dropped into this quaint and intimate resto on St. Denis prior to dinner to enjoy the organic and unfiltered wines of Olivier Lemasson; but felt obliged to try at the very least their Charcuterie plate which was delicious. I must admit to be tempted to try more but held on so as not spoil my apetite; but the charcuterie... More

3PS you'll never regret it! I've been there at least 20 times. You'll have the time of your life! The truffle and white chocolate risotto is to die for!! The mushroom tartine is to ressucitate for! The staff is so friendly (especially Mich, Marc, Nic and the 2 Ahuntsic cooks!!) You feel like home with perfect biodynamic wines and perfect... More

Taken out to eat by colleagues on visit to Montreal. We had a couple great bottles of wine. Tartine de champignons and veal tartar were outstanding. Would definitely go back when I'm next in Montreal again.

Granted I live in Montreal and my solidarity to my city is unquestionable, but having also a well traveled amex card, I can easily say this restaurant ranks in my top five on the globe. I am not sure what the other reviews are complaining about. The private wine collection, and cozy and warm atmosphere and the service by professional... More

The food was simply otherwordly ! I was particularly impressed with the beef tartare and the lamb was exquisite. To top off dinner, their creme brulee was just insanely good. Service and the waitstaff is outstanding. The wine recommendations were spot on as well. We were a larger group (of 8) so while the wait was somewhat longer than expected... More

Staying in Le Plateau Mont-Royal

Neighborhood Profile
Le Plateau Mont-Royal
Go native in Plateau Mont-Royal, where bespoke shopping, hip eateries, and wacky paint jobs attract locals and transplants alike, making it one of the city's most diverse and distinctly authentic experiences. A creative hub, Montreal's artistic elite pack the cafes along Rue Saint-Denis, where young painters and fashion designers draw inspiration from the playful murals and stately Victorian homes that dot the Plateau's side streets. Not a major sightseeing destination, a visit to Plateau Mont-Royal allows you to enjoy a local perspective, soaking in indie films, latte art, contemporary galleries, and the city's best bagels. A center of polyglot culture, Québécois accents mingle with shades of Portuguese, Greek, and Hebrew in the area's iconic Mile End district, where restaurants straddle chic designer boutiques, serving up chorizo and caldo verde. Friendliest to those on foot, it's a jungle of colorful awnings and sidewalk umbrellas, pedestrian walks and luxury shopping.
