I made reservations here after looking at tripadvisor and was very satisfied. First, the staff/servers were very nice and when she new that we spoke English, she quickly changed over and offered to help with the menu. One side was a la carte and in all French, the other side was a pick a salad/soup, entree, dessert. We told her... More

This is a Montreal standby for me and for a lot of other people, and I've eaten here many times over the past decade. It is a political hangout going back a long way, and one can still spot plenty of serving and former politicians and acquaintances here. But I go back for the food. The cooking is traditional French... More

Montreal has a wealth of fine-dining restaurants that provide creative adaptations of French cuisine, often with a unique Québecois stamp. This is my favourite category of restaurants in the city, including most of those I’ve given 4 or 5 stars, and visitors seeking the best dining Montreal has to offer should focus on that genre. But many tourists coming from... More

I have no idea what the other reviewers are talking about. If you want a smelly, stale old restaurant with poor service, this is your place. There is nothing bad about the food but there is also nothing special about it. You walk in to the place and instead of old charm you think, stale and beat up. There is... More

We are sorry to hear that your experience at our restaurant was disappointing. We have been in business for over forty years and surprisingly, this is the first time that we have been told that our restaurant is stale and smelly. We pride ourselves to always offer excellent service, food and a wonderful ambiance. Le" Mas " translate to a... More

So wonderful. What a gem. Service the way it should be backed by entrees that leave you wanting more. Try the escargot....fabulous. Will definitely be back and would recommend to anyone wanting a great meal in Montreal. P.s. I cut my filet with a butter knife with no effort at medium rare. Fabulous.

Today's restaurants are full of glass, chrome and neon with noisy open ambiance. Le Mas des Oliviers is a tribute to the past and more enjoyable style of eateries. Roomy, yet intimate, Le Mas exceeded every expectations we had of it. It had been recommended by a business colleague that lives in Quebec and we could see why. Every course... More

We wanted seafood and our concierge recommended Le Mas des Oliviers. To say that my Pacific bass was the best fish I have ever eaten is an understatement. The food was exceptional. There were four of us and we all enjoyed every bite. It was a bit pricey, but for the wonderful food, the exceptional service, and the European ambiance,... More

Visiting from NYC and wanted to try out a 'tried and true' restaurant while here. We had a wonderful meal @ Les Mas des Oliviers. We stopped by for lunch and had a delicious meal of escargot, shrimp, and steak, perfectly paired with a select wine. Topped off with carrot cake for dessert. Highly recommended.

I was in Montreal for a conference and on Bishop south of St Catherine you will find Les Mas des Oliviers. Jacques is a superb host and will make you feel at home immediately. We had the Sea Bass and the Pan fried Salmon dishes and I must recommend them both to everyone. Melt in your mouth texture with incredible... More

My boyfriend and I enjoy going out to various restaurants in Montreal and we have lived in this city our whole lives. Le Mas des Oliviers is without as doubt one of the best restaurants in Montreal! (if not THE best) The restaurant itself has a very cozy french feeling to it, and is not overcrowded with people. The decor... More
