Located on a street with a jumble of restaurants, Le Mas des Oliviers is easy to miss. But don't. This was our best dinner in Montreal. Country rustic inside with a friendly, knowledgeable, efficient staff, the restaurant serves classic dishes at reasonable prices. Cut vegetables, olives and spicy sausage were on the table for nibbling. A bread basket arrived quickly.... More

We have been for dinner several times in this restaurant, and I still can not understand why is it so popular. The menu selection is small and some of the dishes do not live up to the quality of a french cuisine. Service is fair, and one part of the restaurant is popular and the other part not so much... Thank you for taking the time to give us your critique. We are disappointed to hear that your evening was less than you hoped for.; we pride ourselves on the quality of both our food and service. We wish you would have spoken to your waiter in order to ameliorate any problems you encountered. As for our menu, our daily... More

A Charming restaurant with old world ambience-whitewashed walls and wooden beams. An extensive menu with wide variety. an extensive wine list with many at reasonable prices. the waiters are efficient, knowledgable and friendly. the food was well prepared and beautifully presented. Although this restaurant has been a Montreal mainstay for decades, it has not lost a beat and if anything... More

On a recent trip to Montreal we decided to return to one of our favourite restaurants. We had not eaten there in some time. As always the service and the food were excellent. The restaurant has a very old world atmosphere as it is a few steps below-grade, with brick walls and wood beams on the ceiling. There were three... More

A hidden away must look for diningroom on Bishop. You'll find famous people lunching and superb waiters, no judgments, just eager to ensure you have a splendid dining experience for dinner. The atmosphere is the best along with exquisite food.

We took our kids(11 and 13) to their first French dining experience at this restaurant. We all ordered the house specials which included an appetizer, entree and dessert. For the appetizers we ordered Escargot in puff pastry. My kids both ate it and liked it! For dinner my daughter and I shared the ribeye with french fries which was large... More

After reading TripAdvisor looking for top restaurants in Montreal, we booked this fine quaint French restaurant on Bishop Street, downtown. Upon arrival we were met by the Maitre'd "Phillipe" who seated us immediately. We were here on a Saturday night, and I believe that the restaurant was fully booked although it is not a huge place, but it was obvious... More

We selected Le Mas des Oliviers on the recommendation of a "foodie" couple who really enjoyed their experience at this restaurant. We made a reservation about a week previous again on their recommendation and were glad we took their advice on both counts. The atmosphere is very nice it feels like you are sitting in a farm house kitchen. The... More

My wife and I took advantage of one of those coupon deals to try something that, for us, was new. It truly took me back to Paris (far too long ago) from the slightly arrogant yet impeccable service, where the entire staff are your best friends by the end of the evening, despite that they wouldn't dream of insulting you... Ate here with a group of 11 men on Friday night at 730 after a golf game. The guys from Montreal suggested this place and it was perfect. Service from experienced professional servers which really enhances the evening. We all ordered off the menu a starter and main and everyone enjoyed their various selections. For dessert we all had chocolate... More
