We selected Le Mas des Oliviers on the recommendation of a "foodie" couple who really enjoyed their experience at this restaurant. We made a reservation about a week previous again on their recommendation and were glad we took their advice on both counts. The atmosphere is very nice it feels like you are sitting in a farm house kitchen. The... More

My wife and I took advantage of one of those coupon deals to try something that, for us, was new. It truly took me back to Paris (far too long ago) from the slightly arrogant yet impeccable service, where the entire staff are your best friends by the end of the evening, despite that they wouldn't dream of insulting you... Ate here with a group of 11 men on Friday night at 730 after a golf game. The guys from Montreal suggested this place and it was perfect. Service from experienced professional servers which really enhances the evening. We all ordered off the menu a starter and main and everyone enjoyed their various selections. For dessert we all had chocolate... More

Arrived at Le Mas des Oliviers a little early for our scheduled reservation so we decided to walk down the street to a busy section to kill some time. Returned back at the restaurant still 15 minutes prior to 8:00 PM our scheduled time but we were seated. The restaurant was a buzz with activity, ordered drinks, took our time... More

The restaurant looks small and unassuming from the outside but inside it is spacious and friendly and always busy. The food is excellent. We had visitors from Toronto and took a large group and I was very proud of my recommendation of this restaurant. The chocolate profiteroles were the best we have found anywhere on our travels and you know... More

Comfortable, relaxed Provençal bistro, upscale in setting and service. Packed on a Saturday night but still quiet enough for conversation. With wine, the bill for 4 came to just over $200. Braised lamb shanks were just what one hopes for. Servers were knowledgeable about the menu, polished and friendly.

Our first focus is always for mobility impaired travelers since my husband walks w/ crutches. The bld. is ground level w/ 1 step down at entryway then1 step dwn. into the room (both manageable); the restroom is 2 easily negotiable steps up. This is Southern French cooking -- thus the (roughly translated) name: Provincial Farmhouse of the Olivier Family. Attire: Casual;... More

This is a very casual French style bistro that has been in business for 40 years. The menu has most of the French Bistro Classics. it has a very approachable wine list we a great selection of under $100 French wines including some very nicely priced Bordeaux wines. The service was friendly and competent. We had a lovely meal and... More

Went to Le Mas last march with my girlfriend and even though I hadn't gone in 2 years for some reason, the owner still remembered my name and greeted us warmly. I had the surf and turf and my girlfriend had the bass which were both spectacularly great. Actually, next time I go I will have the bass, it was... More

An eclectic ambience which reflects Montreal's great diversity . People of both languages and ethnic backgrounds come together to enjoy great food, teriffic service and reasonable prices. Le Mas is home to hundreds of regulars who have been coming for decades. Its very French in the best sense with daily specials for lunch and dinner. The fish soup, the lamb,... More
