this lunchtime restaurant is overbooked for a reason. entrees, ambiance and service superb. we would have had to wait l-o-n-g for a table had it not been for 'connections' with the Marriott concierge and J. Nelson. we were immediately taken to a table once we showed our 'note'. fun. live piano and bass while we dined added to the experience.... More

Our table of 8 loved this restaurant. It has walls but an open ceiling / view to sky. You are surrounded by trees and flowers and birds that sing and fly around you. There was a live jazz band playing the background - not too loud or too quiet. All of our food (different types of salads, soups and pizza)... More

The courtyard seating area is quite festive, or there is cafe style dining on the promenade which is also nice. We had the crepes and they were terrific!

We stopped here for coffee only. The back garden is a nice oasis in the centre to relax between sights. Lovely potted flowers and jazz music. Service and coffee weren't bad.

We went to Jardin Nelson for lunch/brunch on a Sunday in Montreal. It is a beautiful restaurant that is basically all outdoors, covered with an elaborate system of umbrellas and awnings. It is landscaped to perfection. Appropriately, seating is on patio tables with patio style slatted chairs. Service was friendly. A soft jazz group played while we were there. We... More

I love the garden setting and the live jazz band! This place is great for dinner with friends and family. The crepes are their specialty, but their pizzas are quite good too. Great for big groups!

My wife and I ordered different Crepes, a speciality of the restaurant. The crepes were heavy and the contents barely satisfactory. I would not recommend this restaurant. Our waitress was very sweet and the outdoor patio inviting. But the food was a huge disappointment.

The food did not blow me away, but the atmosphere in the garden is amazing! While a trio of musicians unobtrusively entertained, we enjoyed the beautiful flowers and plants. Simply amazing!

Crêpes are our choice, particularly the Nelson, served with real Québécois maple syrup, accompanied by a bowl of cafe latte, generous and smooth. The restaurant opens at 10 o'clock and fills quickly, with live jazz instrumental music starting 30 minutes or so later. They accommodate tables of 6 as easily as 2 without the need of a reservation. Nearest Montreal... More

Third visit to Jardin Nelson in Old Town. Always enjoy the lunch in the beautiful garden setting along with the jazz entertainment. Our party of three enjoyed three different kinds of crepes - duck, pork and veal - all delicious.
