We walk 40 minutes to get there and it was worth it. They fully deserve their 2014 Trip Advisor award in the front door and we were not disappointed, specially on a very quiet monday night. The most tender and tasty brochettes we had so far and there would be no point in looking further down the street on our... More

We have been going to this restaurant for many years. Their food has always been delish and consistent. Love their BYOB (bring your own bottle) with no corking fee!!! Their lunch menu is great as it includes a choice of soup, main dish with a fabulous Greek salad and potatoes ,and dessert with coffee. We love the hidden outdoor terasse... More

I have been there twice in the fall of 2014 and both times we had excellent service. The food is delicious and portions are generous, true to authentic Greek restaurants. The area where it's located is a very charming part of Montreal; bringing your own wine always reduces the total cost, which is nice. I enjoyed their lamb chops and... More

Like many montrealers, we have been paying since forever an occasional visit at the Jardin de Panos. We went recently with another couple after the 4 of us met on a trip to Greece, just for comparison sake with the "real" greek establishments. We had a variety of entrees and dishes to compare. We must have spent 3 hours talking... More

I went for lunch today at Le Jardin De Panos and it was as expected a nice, no frills, good value for the money, well priced lunch. The atmosphere was serene and the service was courteous and attentive. The decor is a bit dated and needs some upkeep, but I am a foodie so the most important element for me... More

I have been going to Jardin Panos for over 25 years. The best time time is in the summer in the garden. Even though its winter we were there again last night. The food in consistently excellent. My wife, mother and I think they have the best salad that comes with each dish. It is always crisp and made with... More

Friends of ours had selected this restaurant based on recommendation from their children. The atmospher was pleasant the service courteous and attentive. We didn't realise it was a BYOB but there was a convienent store close and we were able to get a decent wine. There were four of us and each of us were very happy with their choice... More

Another restaurant we were hoping to eat at was very busy, so decided on this Greek eatery instead, and did not regret. The tzatziki, taramasalata, filet mignon and grilled salmon all tasted rather fresh and well prepared.

We only came here as a last minute decision, we wanted a bring your own wine with a terrace and everywhere else was full. The terrace was beautiful courtyard with trees and vines. The food was alright, nothing extra ordinary, but the service was good. Thing is that the tables are too small and were crammed when the food came.... More

Staying in Le Plateau Mont-Royal

Neighborhood Profile
Le Plateau Mont-Royal
Go native in Plateau Mont-Royal, where bespoke shopping, hip eateries, and wacky paint jobs attract locals and transplants alike, making it one of the city's most diverse and distinctly authentic experiences. A creative hub, Montreal's artistic elite pack the cafes along Rue Saint-Denis, where young painters and fashion designers draw inspiration from the playful murals and stately Victorian homes that dot the Plateau's side streets. Not a major sightseeing destination, a visit to Plateau Mont-Royal allows you to enjoy a local perspective, soaking in indie films, latte art, contemporary galleries, and the city's best bagels. A center of polyglot culture, Québécois accents mingle with shades of Portuguese, Greek, and Hebrew in the area's iconic Mile End district, where restaurants straddle chic designer boutiques, serving up chorizo and caldo verde. Friendliest to those on foot, it's a jungle of colorful awnings and sidewalk umbrellas, pedestrian walks and luxury shopping.
