A very interesting ice cream shop

Friends recommend us that ice cream shop. Considering that it is/was April and temperatures were around 8 degrees plus, we were curious. When we came there, people were queuing outside the shop. Facing such an equation, besides that our kids decided that they definitely want ice cream now, we... read more

the only con about this place- it closes generally at 6 PM except for Friday when it is open till 8 PM. 100% natural ingredients, less sweet but perfect! delicious and unique flavors of Sorbet and Ice creams. Coffee are good too. Their Ice creams cake are even better the DQ . The lady there is very gentle, friendly and... More

This is some of the most fantastic ice cream we have ever had. A must stop for anyone in Montreal. Lovely neighborhood/local feel. Outdoor seating and benches, quaint indoors. We walked from where we were staying, and while it was a little out of our way, it was WELL WORTH IT (plus, we got to walk off our ice cream... More

One of my favourite places for ice cream. Large variety of flavours from ice creams to gelatos. Make sure to bring cash they do not take credit or debit cards.

A Montreal institution, great ice-creams, great choice of flavours. It would be perfect if service was a bit more congenial.

Okay, not cheap, let's get that out of the way. But it is worth it. The ice cream and sorbets are fantastic. I think this is the best ice cream to be had in Montreal. I am not overly adventurous when I go, vanilla, strawberry sorbet or tire d'erable. While I can understand some of the other reviews marking them... More

On March 25th 2014, we when to Bilboquet to get our favorite tire ice cream (tire d'erable ice cream), we were appalled with our experience. The ice cream seemed to have melted and re-frozen- it was flat. We asked if they had a problem with their freezer and an arrogant French woman told us: no, no no! Aucun probleme! We... More

Went there last night for some late night ice cream. After having a friend recommend it and seeing the many people inside and out with ice cream I assumed that I was about to have a delicious treat. But to me it seemed rather average. No special flavours, no special prices and no real flare. It wasn't terrible ice crea... More

Staying in Outremont

Neighborhood Profile
Outremont
Outremont, a quaint residential district just north of Downtown, is a peaceful, low-key setting known for its mod cafes and bistros, and some of the best walking territory Montreal has to offer. Visitors can explore the flowering parks and manor estates of Maplewood Street, then window-shop the popular bakeries and coffeehouses on main arteries of Chemin de la Côte-Sainte-Catherine and Rue Van Horne. The modern granola feel is complemented by contemporary art exhibitions, rotating theater productions, and a welcoming public library. Also a nexus for the city's Hasidic Jewish culture, Outremont's diversity resounds in its cuisine and in its architecture. Visit the colorful neighborhood to take advantage of boutique shopping on Avenue Laurier, or to test the artisanal flavors of Avenue Bernard, braving a salmon burger on a squid-ink bun or accommodating your sweet tooth with a provincial chômeur pudding. A visit to Outremont is a relaxing day.
