The service should be as good as the ice cream !

I was trying to pick a flavor but forgot my glasses in the car . I asked the lady behind the counter what a certain ice cream flavor was and she pointed to a chalk board were they have all the flavors listed. There were people coming in so i just asked her for anything that looked familiar and... read more

My family doesn't consider it vacation unless there is ice cream involved, so you know we had to find some recommended places for our stay. This shop did not disappoint. Very inviting, yet quirky shop. The flavors were nothing crazy (don't think Ben & Jerry's), but were original and interesting. I got Brouhaha (vanilla w/caramel swirl, brownie pieces and almond... Ice cream lovers will be in paradise by going at Bilboquet's! Several delicious flavors offered in many différents ways will please both kids and adults. If the price is higher than somewhere else, the quality is too. Also, try the sorbets and the macarons... those options are great if you fell like having a unforgetable treat. The Bilboquet on Beaubien... More

This is a great place to eat sorbet and ice cream. The quality of their product is fantastic....so is the price tag. Very hard on the wallet for ice cream...oh and the service could be better. Smiles are always welcome you know....

Bilboquet has been around for maybe 50 years and it is a neighbourhood institution in Outremont. there is one on Sherbrooke St in Westmount too. The ice cream is artisinale....and is excellent. Yogourt stuff is available too. Kids love the place and in summer there is usually a lineup in the evenings and on weekends...obviously especially on hot days.

Bilboquet never disappoints, their array of different ice cream flavours is definitely worthwhile going. The staff are very nice and friendly, not to mention the ice cream is first class.

You can tell the good places by how long the customers will wait for it. I haven't seen this place with the line inside, it always stretches well out, turning down the sidewalk. They have sorbet and ice cream (and probably other stuff too, but I go for the ice cream) in all sorts of flavors. I like pear and... More

Because we spoke English, our group was ignored, and even though we were the only ones in the store not served. When another group came in they were served (spoke French) and we were told that we didn't line up in the right place. The server who said his name was Elvis, was snotty. We speak French, but our South... More

the only con about this place- it closes generally at 6 PM except for Friday when it is open till 8 PM. 100% natural ingredients, less sweet but perfect! delicious and unique flavors of Sorbet and Ice creams. Coffee are good too. Their Ice creams cake are even better the DQ . The lady there is very gentle, friendly and... More

Friends recommend us that ice cream shop. Considering that it is/was April and temperatures were around 8 degrees plus, we were curious. When we came there, people were queuing outside the shop. Facing such an equation, besides that our kids decided that they definitely want ice cream now, we decided to get in line too. Although we had to wait... More

Staying in Outremont

Neighborhood Profile
Outremont
Outremont, a quaint residential district just north of Downtown, is a peaceful, low-key setting known for its mod cafes and bistros, and some of the best walking territory Montreal has to offer. Visitors can explore the flowering parks and manor estates of Maplewood Street, then window-shop the popular bakeries and coffeehouses on main arteries of Chemin de la Côte-Sainte-Catherine and Rue Van Horne. The modern granola feel is complemented by contemporary art exhibitions, rotating theater productions, and a welcoming public library. Also a nexus for the city's Hasidic Jewish culture, Outremont's diversity resounds in its cuisine and in its architecture. Visit the colorful neighborhood to take advantage of boutique shopping on Avenue Laurier, or to test the artisanal flavors of Avenue Bernard, braving a salmon burger on a squid-ink bun or accommodating your sweet tooth with a provincial chômeur pudding. A visit to Outremont is a relaxing day.
