Maybe this is actually my third time back here, but the first in a couple of years. Was pleased to see that my fond memories were not to be let down -- excellent food and terrific service. Was with in-laws who hadn't had Afghani food before and they were all very pleased with it. Had the chicken kebab as my... More

We loved our dinner at Khyber Pass. The terrace in the rear has a lovely atmosphere, the food was delicious, and the service wonderful! Beware, however, that the restaurant does not accept Mastercard. A very odd omission in 2014 (and one that surprised us - fortunately, they accept U.S. dollars)!

Best meal I've had in Montreal yet. Went with 3 friends, native from Montreal, St Louis, Durbin S.A. and me from Seattle. We all had lamb shank prepared two different ways. The owners son was our waiter, very knowledgeable about the menu. We let him pick out appetizers, the flavors were incredible, shank fell apart on the plate. Best part,... More

Was here with my lab on a conference trip, heard great things about the restaurant so we decided to try it. Possibly the best food I have ever been served hands down!!!!! I eat quite regularly at restaurants and the food here was amazing! Whatever blend of spices they were using in their sauce was the perfect blend! I had... More

Happy to say that Kyhber Pass is still an excellent place to dine on authentic Afghani food. I have been to this fine restaurant on a number of occasions over the past three years and found the service and food consistently amazing. Had the lamb kebab this time. The meat was tender and flavorful and the three different types of... More

This is definitively a very good Afghan restaurant. The foods are very good qualities with a very nice design and exotic atmosphere. I came here at least 3 times and every time I was satisfied...

This typical Afghan restaurant features lamb specialties, Beef and chicken choices are also available. Rices are also especially good. The decoration is well done. Entering in the restaurant takes you into a different atmosphere. We like this place and look forward to returning.

We went to Khyber Pass for a friends birthday. They took our reservation of 20 people after they previously stated they were booked until March.. so we lucked out! I had the samosas, beef kebob, three choices of rice, afgan salad and pudding for dessert (the only dessert option) it tasted like fruit loops! We also tried to recreate the... More

We had a delicious dinner this BYOB. We had the aushak and quabli pilau, both of which were well prepared. Unfortunately, they seat everyone at 2 or 3 set times, resulting ina rushed feeling. The atmosphere was nice, but crowded.
