Recently went to Il Campari when we visited Montreal. Hadn't been there in several years but Peter, the owner, recognized us instantly and made sure we felt at home. All of the staff was very attentive and looked after our every need. Atmosphere was fabulous - very relaxing. and the food was superb. We ordered a wine that was far... More

I was in Montreal on business and read the reviews for this restaurant and decided to try it, I was not disappointed, I started with grilled octopus and then had veal scaloppini with a white wine and lemon sauce that melted in my mouth. A couple glasses of Pinot Grigio and a lovely coffee to end my meal made for... More

It was a last minute decision before a show. We were two. We ordered prosciutto and octopus to start. The octopus was good but the presentation could have been better. I took the veal with mushrooms and she opted for an arrabiata. Her arrabiata was amazing. My veal melted in my mouth. The mushroom sauce was not what I imagined... More

I found Il Campari Centro on Tripadvisor and went there on a Tuesday night - it was moderately busy (the patio was full) and there were a couple of largish parties inside. Service from the beginning was impeccable - very attentive and appropriate. I had a Bressan Schioppettino - that was the pefect compliment to my meal. Started with a... More

We flet like Italian and went here based on TripAdvisor reviews. Excellent choice. In addition to the more rarified Italian specialities they have on the menu, they have on their menu words to the effect of "traditional Italian dishes available on request". I wasn't in the mood for rarified food that day, so I asked what the traditional dishes were.... More

Just came back from a fabulous meal and great time by chance. My husband and I wanted some veal tonight and noticed they serve plenty of options. We went in being told they are expecting a party of 35 in a few minutes and we asked to be seated as far away as possible and they happily obliged. We had... More

Very good! Great food. Good value. The staff was very nice and helpful. Not very crowded but I guess it's off season. It was nice that it was quiet until they sat a very loud group next to us in an empty restaurant. .

My girlfriend and I went to this restaurant, which was just across the street from our hotel. We sat on the terrace, and all I can say was that this restaurant was absolutely spectacular! The wine selection and the menu were excellent, service was great, and even though the bill was a bit pricey for our taste, we would definitely... More

My husband and I have been coming to this restaurant for many years and we are never disappointed. The owner, Pietro (or Peter, if you wish!) is both charming and hospitable. The waiters are all very experienced and service is tops- polite, efficient, patient and cheerful. The wine list is large enough and extensive, with many excellent Italian offerings although... We decided on this restaurant as it was located across from the hotel. We were only the second group dining in the restaurant that evening- so the service was excellent. The wine selection was tremendous even though the prices were a tad higher than i expected. The food was delicious. I had the gorgonzola gnocci and it was devine. My... More
