An ultra clean place where we can eat highest quality products off of the floor, so clean here

Not my first time here. Food is awsome no matter what time of the day or season. I just had lobster tails with fradiavolo linguini. Just to die to for. Staff is friendly and I consider this my home away from home when i want to eat well. For the quality of the food and the nice sized portions... read more

A group of us have dinner every year while we are attending a convention. We have eaten at places such as Eleven Madison Park; Joe's Seafood, Prime Steak & Stone Crab; State Bird Provisions; Vij's; Charleston Restaurant; OLA; GW Fins, etc. 19 of us dined at Campari Centro and we were amazed that the experience here was better than several... The service was good, very professional, maybe a little too much, a little too "going through the motions", but it's always better than the opposite way. We were welcome gently and offered to be served on the terrace. You're well seated, just that you're in front of the Novotel Rue de la Montagne, so do not go there for the... More

I ate here again last night and was not disappointed. M. Esposito the owner is always there to make you feel welcomed. The waiters are attentive and welcoming. The food is great. I had the grilled calamari appetizer and scallopini piccata with penne as main course. we sat outside on Mountain street and there was lots happening around us. I... More

Outstanding food and service. Karl, our waiter, and Pietro, the owner, made our evening most enjoyable. Relaxed atmosphere with out of this world food. I highly suggest the gnocchi pasta, as well as the bone-in Filet.

Excellent Italian dishes. Ask for Carl, the waiter. Spend some time talking with Pietro, the proprietor, and by all means eat outside. We did and felt we were more like in Milan (or Paris) at a sidewalk cafe. Highly recommend this place. We discuss American politics, of which they were very well informed, by the way.

We came back after the major area construction started around this restaurant and were please to discover that none of this restaurant's qualities seem to have been affected by the chaos surrounding it. I had the Vitello Pizzaiola and she had the Gnocchi Gorgonzola - both excellent. With a glass of wine each the bill not including tax and tip... More

It's always difficult to find a restaurant to satisfy 3 pre-teen and teenage boys, but this hit the mark! Don't be afraid to ask for "off menu" items. Lasagna and spaghetti bolognese aren't listed, but are available if asked. The gnocchi was especially delicious. The service was outstanding.

Probably the best Italian meal we have ever had, and excellent service. Starting with the soup de jour through the main course and desert, the food was incredibly fresh. Portion sizes were perfect and well presented. Our waiter, Karl, was charming and offered excellent suggestions.

Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighborhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
