A nice little surprise

We were headed to a show nearby and happened upon this little restaurant. Having recently traveled to Spain we were happy to give it a try. The Gaudi inspired decor was fun. We were short on time and although they didn't guarantee fast service, we were able to get in and out on time (1h15... read more

We were a group of 9 and they took a reservation on a busy Friday night. The food was very good, great portions and we loved the decor. It was walking distance to Boul St. Laurent after for drinks and our waiter was great and gave us suggestions and a map to find it! Definitely plan to spend some time... More

Awesome décor and excellent food. I always love restaurants that serve bread (and oil to dip it in) while you're ordering your drink and deciding on food. This place even had olives. Somewhat pricey, but the food is pretty high end. Servings are small in your typical upscale restaurant style, but you will not go hungry. Also, our server made... More

Tapas not a Montreal staple, but this place offers a great dining experience. Menu is full and fun. Veggie dishes especially inventive. Garlic shrimps and chiozo choice were special. Service is poor because understaffed. May have been a holiday thing. Best selection of Spanish wine in the city. Try the asparagus with mozzarella accent. Top off with Spanish coffee.

Nice restaurant and good wine. Being very familiar with Spanish tapas, having travelled to Spain often, i would say good not great. All the fried and breaded items were very heavy and tasted more the breading than the item. The rest was good especially the Lamb and Olive chicken earned them very good. Service is good and friendly and great... More

Visited this restaurant with friends on Saturday night. My husband and I arrived before our friends and were quickly seated to a table. I would have enjoyed a cocktail while waiting for the others to arrive, but the waiter didn't come at our table to ask us if we wanted to drink anything. When our friends arrive, it took a... More

Celebrated a friend's birthday here - ideal spot to do so. Staff are awesome and helpful when ordering and very attentive. Menu is very varied with good prices. We had essentially 2 courses ( 3-4 plates were seafood oriented and another 3-4 were meat and veggie). More than enough food for 4 people. Garlic shrimp, meatballs, steak, stuffed eggplant, asparagus,... More

Having lived in Iberia years ago we often try to find a good Spanish or Portuguese restaurant where ever we go. This restaurant happened to be near our hotel and we found it excellent. I do not remember a better paella and the wine, all personally imported , was also first class.. In Quebec much of the wine is very... More

My wife and I love tapas and decided to try it out based on the tripadvisor reviews. This was a great choice! We shared 4 tapas: braised veal cheeks - amazing, garlic shrimp - name says it all, mussels diablo - tasty, chorizo in sauce - wonderful. The waiter recommended a wine from Spain that we will forget! Highly recommend... More

Ate there recently. Tremendous choice with quality across the menu. Met the owner at thernd of the evening-he was very friendly and courteous, as was the waiter. Would highly recommend.

Staying in Le Plateau Mont-Royal

Neighborhood Profile
Le Plateau Mont-Royal
Go native in Plateau Mont-Royal, where bespoke shopping, hip eateries, and wacky paint jobs attract locals and transplants alike, making it one of the city's most diverse and distinctly authentic experiences. A creative hub, Montreal's artistic elite pack the cafes along Rue Saint-Denis, where young painters and fashion designers draw inspiration from the playful murals and stately Victorian homes that dot the Plateau's side streets. Not a major sightseeing destination, a visit to Plateau Mont-Royal allows you to enjoy a local perspective, soaking in indie films, latte art, contemporary galleries, and the city's best bagels. A center of polyglot culture, Québécois accents mingle with shades of Portuguese, Greek, and Hebrew in the area's iconic Mile End district, where restaurants straddle chic designer boutiques, serving up chorizo and caldo verde. Friendliest to those on foot, it's a jungle of colorful awnings and sidewalk umbrellas, pedestrian walks and luxury shopping.
