10 of us showed up about 11:00pm for drinks following a celebratory dinner out. We were initially disappointed as the patio was closed due to bylaw. However, we were seated upstairs, right in front of wide open windows so got the "outdoor feel" anyway. This little Mexican themed bar was really neat with lively decor. It was a little dark... More

If you are going to run a restaurant, you should at least try ............ just a little!!! Food was mushy and tasteless, the waitress did offer to let me order something else ............... but if you cannot prepare a chimichunga, I hold little hope anything else will be good. The service was slow, restaurant in disrepair, and the place had... More

This was our 2nd visit within the last year. 1st visit was not pleasnat with dirty premises. This 2 nd visit was more pleasant in a well lit area of the restaurant. No cob webs and the paint was well maintained. The lunch menu was pretty decent and the prices were reasonable. We had 4 differnet plates - tacos, fahitas... More

I used to go to Carlos and Pepe's as a student and loved the happy hours on Friday nights. We would go for the extra large margaritas and cheap tacos. The food was always great. Not sure if they have made happy hour illegal but there were no great specials and the food was mediocre. It seems to have lost... More

The food was very good - different from Mexican cuisine you can get in the United States. The service was a little slow for us but that might be the way it is in Montreal. Most of the restaurants we visited during our stay had slow service.

Just went to the new Carlos & Pepes - they bring you chips to start with a half filled bowl of salsa (if that's what you want to call it) and then if you ask for more they charge you $3 - REALLY!!!!???? My husband ordered fajitas and I ordered Mahi Mahi soft shelled tacos - my husband got his... More

The second floor is a bar with lively music and fun bartenders who let these Texans show them how to mix a few new drinks. The chips were not really on par with TexMex standard and the salsa was sweet before the heat but so far from the border it was not bad!

We like to eat early, and arrived around 5 on a Saturday. The restaurant was already quite full. Drinks menu was enormous, husband had a Corona, and I had a piña colada, which was very good. $8.95 for the piña colada. The food was delicious and well presented. Our server, Maro, was super-nice, friendly and efficient, helped us choose and... More

This was a nice restaurant if you wanted good food at a reasonable price. They give you corn chips and salsa in arrival. We ordered the pulled pork tacos (nice but the salsa was a little sweet - tasted like a ham and pineapple pizza) and the pulled chicken quesadilla which were amazing. The servings were quite bit. I have... More
