Really good food & service

Relaxing & attentive service; fresh & well-prepared food; clean & comfortable dining room (hate to be too crowded for a nice meal); authentic Italian.

I would say its typical med to high end Italian restaurant; white linen table cloths, linen napkins, nice cutlery, large water glasses and typical Italian atmosphere...BUT this place does everything really well. The wait staff are friendly, service minded and they made us right at home in that they wanted to make sure we were happy. They have the real... More

Just a couple of blocks off St. Catherine's Ave this is the classic up scale Italian Restaurant. Everything is made to impress. This is the place to go for a special event with someone special. My wife and I saved this for our last evening in Montreal and were very much impressed. Quiet, comfortable, romantic with great food and wine.... More

Easy walk from our hotel, the Hilton Garden Inn. Very nice menu and wine selection - really good Italian selections. First class and attentive wait staff.

First night in Montreal ... Great choice. Delicious Caesar salad. Pasta dishes were wonderful. Hubbie had steak, done the way he ordered and came with plateful of vegetables. Best bruschetta ever, bread and olives too. Creamy Tartuffo and good strong coffee. Highly recommend.

Just got back from a lovely and delicious dinner with my husband and young son. They treated us like royalty, and the little extras was delicious - bruschetta and olives, warm fresh crusty buns, and a lovely and complementary fruit tray with our coffee and dessert. The pasta dinners were delicious - penne romanov and spaghetti bolognese. So simple but... More

We have frequented this restaurant many times, and have always had very good food and excellent service. This past week we were there for a family birthday and they really made us feel welcome and relaxed. Food was very good and the staff made the birthday person feel special Rack of lamb, is the best as well as the amaretto... More

Being no shortage of good fancy italian restaurants downtown montreal or within 10 minutes car ride, i fail to see how this one is so well rated. The service is fine, the menu is really basic but none if this is authentical. Tasteless minestrone, very basic tuna, tasteless rice and vegetables, no creativity whatsoever, ambiance of a shopping mall...for close... More

Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighborhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
