jaws!

You need iron jaws to eat the lunchtime steak special at the Jockey street branch (Blue Bonnets). Both my wife and I had this lunch. At $17.00 it was a tough disappointment. I was so hungry that I ate mine, but my wife sent hers back! Lo and behold, my wife got a very tender replacement steak... read more

Nothing shocking one way or another when you stop at Baton Rouge. Food, service and decor are all pretty standard for this chain. No complaints because everything was adequate. Left feeling happy, full and my wallet not drained!

I hate flat iron steak for lunch, it was very small. very tough, very skinny peace, disgusting at Baton Rouge on Jockey street in Montreal. The cake was awful. It was supposed to be lemon pie, it was a dry tiny peace of dried cake with no lemon flavor

It was my son's birthday. We had ribs and prime roast. For a Tuesday evening it was quiet. The service was almost too fast but forgiven for the quality of the food...the beef was just melt in your mouth and the acompanyments were fresh and done just well. A little pricey for a weekly outing but value is there

Baton Rouge is famous for Steak & Ribs. The portions and taste are good, all at a reasonable price. Tips. But do be careful which Baton Rouge you visit and the hour of your arrival. In my experience, past lunch hour are the worst, after 3pm, I was served with overcook (burnt ribs) and overdone steak, which really disappoints. Hope... More

I've been to various Baton Rouge restaurants numerous times over the years and have always been impressed by their consistency regardless of location. Basing myself on memory, my cumulative overall rating for those past occasions would be 'Very Good' and explains why I've returned time and again, though I've never written a review... until now. On December 13th, 2014, we... More

We had occasion to visit the Baton Rouge at Complex des Jardin last Saturday, Jan 10. We were with 4 friends. Admittedly it was very busy as there were a couple of shows at Place des Arts. luckily we made a reservation and we seated promptly, We ordered drinks. Issue 1 we were given only 1 English menu and when... More

Visited last week in brief break to Montreal. My recollection was food was fresh, service excellent, like the Houston's chain they mimic. Really disappointed. Service was good, but food was awfully ordinary. Burgers tasted like they were laying around, fries limp and tasteless. The pre dinner salad ordered a la carte appeared to have been made from ingredients laying about.... More
