Always our favorite fine dining experience anywhere. Chef Jerome is always consistently outstanding both with quality and presentation. The meal is full of little surprises throughout. Last time my wife got the tasting menu and was delighted by everything. Service was impeccable. Whenever we try a new fine dining restaurant we always compare it to the standard set by Europea.

Go anyway. Best food in town, and the wait staff is fun to watch as they swish silently around the room and then elegantly serve your meal. Like all five-star restaurants, portions are small, so pay the extra buck for one of the hors d'ouvres. Worth digging in your bag for those special occassion fancy duds. Leave the jeans in... More

We turned up for the latest slot we could (the only one available at short notice). We chose the 12 course vegetarian tasting menu, which was really really amazing. A real concentration on vegetables and no meat replacements. I suspect, given enough notice, that a vegan tasting menu would be pretty easy to do. We also decided to go with... More

Everything was perfect from the beginning to the end. A must for the gastronomes. We took the tasting menu with wine pairing. Great and daring culinary travel. A must.

Visited this restaurant for a business lunch. Made the decision based on the reviews on Tripadvisor. We decided on the "les midis gourmands" with the wine pairings. Each one of the items has a distinctive presentation. The portions are small but very flavourful. The texture of some of the items are interesting, but I can see how they might not... More

Dear carlos828, Thank you very much to have come see us in December, 2014 and for your comment on TripAdvisor. For the lunch you chose the equivalent of what we offer in the evening, the tasting menu with a wine pairing. As you say it quite exactly, the customers who wish to discover us must be opened at the idea... More

I have been fortunate to enjoy Europea for several dinners during my career, on the company's tab - which is great because this place is expensive! It is also absolutely unique and in my opinion the best dining experience in Montreal, the city of foodies. This was the first time I went for lunch, and I wasn't sure what to... More

Went up about two weeks ago for our yearly "break the bank" meal. I read the reviews extensively before going and had the help of my parents who went last summer. They warned us of the price, but we look forward to splurging once a year. We had a 6:30 reservation and left at 10:30. There were still people getting... More

Dear Mattheur P, Thank you very much to have come 2 weeks ago having followed the recommendations of your parents. Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighborhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
