Right around the corner from the Hyatt Downtown, we had a fantastic breakfast here - all kinds of eggs benedict, and creative twists on classic breakfast dishes. Great waiter, very attentive, and the quality of the food was very good!

It's rare for my husband and me to want to repeat an experience, because we like to have a variety of experiences, but our breakfast with the family was so outstanding, we went back alone. The food itself is totally worth it. I had the California Dreaming Benedict both times. The asparagus, spinach and smoked salmon were just the perfect... More

The service was pretty fast as well as friendly. The quality of the food was average in terms of preparation, however, Eggspectation certainly provides a lot of options. I would certainly recommend Eggspectation to anyone looking for a solid breakfast.

Had breakfast here while staying at the Ritz and glad we did. Fun vibe inside - industrial, rustic country. Best pancakes ever. Everyone enjoyed their meal and the waiter was fun & friendly.

Visited on a snowy day in Montreal. Restaurant was busy, service was good. Ordered the Eggstravanga Crepe, was really good, really enjoyed it. My husband ordered the All American, and that was average, so I would not recommend. Just your regular eggs and bacon, sausage. The bacon looked burn. Still like the brand and will be back again.

I was just there today with a large group. The place is not as big as their branch in downtown and the ambiance not as appealing. The waiter was kind of overwhelmed, I guess, yet amiable and pleasant. If you want to try Eggspectation for the first time, I recommend the downtown branch.

For all Egg Lovers, rejoice. This is the only restaurant in Montreal that dares to call themselves Egg... The menu is excellent, with over 10-15 breakfast items (served all day) served with Eggs. Otherwise you still have a great selection of Pasta, Burger, Steak.... who cares... EGGS!! Portion is excellent, and staff service is good (although they can be very... More

My wife and I are walking around Montreal on a very cold day. We popped in for a nice breakfast and were not disappointed. From the warm greeting, to fast friendly server (thanks Rob), it was exactly what we expected. Big portions of wonderful food. This is a go-to place for us when we're in town.

Staying in Quartier des Spectacles

Neighborhood Profile
Quartier des Spectacles
The bar-none entertainment district for music and arts, Quartier des Spectacles is an interactive playground that delights the senses. It totals over 30 performance halls, with the vibrant Place des Festivals at its heart. The outdoor event space features glowing towers, glass edifices, and granite-lined bike paths, and hosts annual festivals, concerts, and comedy nights. The cinema, theaters, and exhibition centers are entwined with external art projects, exemplified at Montreal's Contemporary Art Museum and appearing along every walkway of the Promenade des Artistes in the form of sculpture and public works, from digitally-enhanced swingsets to glowing fountains. Design, performance, and alternative music come together here, a stone's throw from the lively Latin Quarter along Rue Saint-Denis, the quintessential after-party spot for dinner and a drink following a day of jazz, poetry and play.
